Let me start from the beginning at our one night stay (booked two nights) in the hotel from hell. Upon driving up to the hotel around 9 pm, we were greeted (accosted) by the owner who promptly told me no pets were allowed and pointed to the universal "no pets allowed" sign on the door to the tiny lobby. I responded that our furry friend was a service animal and it was noted in the reservation confirmation. I also showed him Romeo's service identification. Mr.. S. then stated there was a $25 charge for animals and I told him it was against the law to charge for service animals. He then demanded to see the reservation confirmation and I showed him where it stated "with service dog" under special requests. He said I should have called, and I asked him where does it say that? Mr. S. then went on a lame explanation of how people try and beat him out of paying the upcharge when clearly their pet is not a service dog. I confirmed there would be no charge for the service dog, and he relented. Upon checking into the room we noticed the bathtub drain was filthy, only two bath towels, the lamp over the wardrobe did not work and the skimpy coffee offerings. My wife was so upset that she refused to stay another night and I went to the office and advised Mr. S. and he said 'not a problem'. The next day I checked out and was helped by a relative (daughter?) who was very pleasant. When I asked about the credit for the second night, she asked me to call Booking.com, to make the cancellation, which was handled by Valerie professionally. Read moreA definite relief,, I've tried quite a few places around the area and been disappointed. I've stayed in 2 different rooms when I've been here in the area coming off the road. They both been very clean, beds aren't beat-up and lumpy so far comfortable. The hot water is great no fighting with it or waiting for somewhat worm water like other places I've tried. The office woman is nice and cheerful ,definitely nice walking in seeing someone smiling and greeting you. The view is great and it's quite. Quiet a few restaurants just down the road I recommend = Whitestone Restaurant great breakfast and dinner their steak dinner, they also offer a breakfast and dinner buffet also you can order what you want they do have a bar the staff are very nice and the owners are great very nice and work there. There is a Dairy Queen just down the road from them for some after ice cream. Normally I find big problems and dirty places and expose them. Well I can finally say not to shabby 😉 For the price.

Read moreIt was an okay. Stayed here when attending a wedding nearby as it was much cheaper than other alternatives. The concierge was very nice and accommodating. However, I felt it was overpriced for what it was ($160). The rooms are clean to the best of their ability, but are extremely outdated that the carpet/smell/overall room felt unclean. ||||They do have a cute area off to the side to have a picnic/chill outside.||||One more thing to be aware of (which is not fault of this place) is that taxi service is extremely unreliable and there are no ubers/lyfts in this area. If you are planning to attend a wedding/event, be prepared to drive yourself. ||||||||||||pros||cheapest alternative in the area||||cons||unreliable taxis & no...
