The Lodge at Loon Lake — Hotel in Town of Chester

My husband and I come to Conway's a few times every year throughout the summer and fall. The owners, Bob and Erica, are very accommodating and helpful! The location is on the end of Loon Lake, with a small beach and boat launch within walking distance. We bring our kayaks and enjoy the lake for fishing and taking in the scenery. The property also offers a small dock for fishing or boating, adirondack chairs for sitting and enjoying the lakefront view, and a large lawn for the kids to play on. The rooms have two double beds and a small fridge. While not updated, we feel like we step back into time when we're there. We use the motel as our home base through the day while enjoying the Adirondacks, whether we're hiking, kayaking, fishing, or eating. There are two restaurants nearby that we frequent for dinner, OP Fredericks and The Place. In the nearby town of Chestertown we like to go to The Deer Crossing for breakfast and love going to the Crossroads where you can find everything from fishing lures to hiking shoes to deli sandwiches. We put on a lot of miles visiting the quaint town of North Creek, going to Minerva Lake with the family, and finding new lakes, ponds, or streams to explore. Absolutely Wonderful Stay at the Lodge on Looney Lake!

We had such a lovely time at the newly renovated Lodge on Looney Lake. The rooms were absolutely beautiful! Everything felt fresh, thoughtfully updated, and spotless. You can tell a lot of care went into the renovations.

One of our favorite parts was the back porch, which had comfortable furniture and a peaceful view overlooking the lake which was perfect for morning coffee or just relaxing in the evening. The lodge also offers beach access with plenty of chairs and a great fire pit area, which made for cozy nights by the water.

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made sure our room was cleaned in a timely manner and checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which we really appreciated.

It was a perfect, relaxing getaway and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful stay by the lake. We’re already looking forward to...

From the outside, it looks very generic but on closer look, you’ll notice the beautiful flower pots and wrap around patios. Inside is first class! We were so surprised at how upscale it is. It’s situated on a rolling lawn overlooking their private beach. We rented a kayak and boat from the marina which was 5 min away. Such a lovely lake! AND we were pleasantly surprised by the boat parade in the afternoon. A short hike up the mountain took us to a beautiful view spot of the lake as the sun was setting.
