Campground landscaping looks well maintained with a lot of seasonal campers. During the week it was very quiet and calm, no activities however the weekend picks up a lot! Plenty of campers coming in for the weekend and activities are planned Fridays and Saturdays.
The area around the campground is full of farmland. There's not much to do within a short trip. If you want to do things think about another 30 to 60+ min ride to go do them. There is very limited cell service within the campground. 1 bar of 4g. The wifi service is free you just have to keep signing in every hour. The wifi is also limited during high volume hours. I had difficulty loading any videos. Long loading times for google map searches, instagram, and Facebook as well
Cabin AC very good Bathroom, clean and free from bugs. Water pressure was good Beds decent for the week but required extra pillows to prevent back pain TV small but good clear picture and plenty of channels. Connected a nintendo switch and worked well. Wished it was tucked away for a more wooded experience. door was difficult to close sometimes had to really pull hard window blinds were missing pull strings and could only change the flap direction lighting was decent ceiling fan worked
We did have an issue with our golf cart rental. When we booked our trip we purchased a cabin site, and RV site, and 2 golf carts. 6 days into the trip a manager came and said we didn't return a cart in time and he had people waiting for it. Confused we went to the store to figure it out. The contract emailed to us did not state what we had paid for and for what dates. It did give us rules and regulations and thanking us for the amount paid. We check out the paperwork and 1 paper said the correct dates and the other said only 4 days. This left us throuroughly confused. Looking at their calendars then it looked like both carts needed to be returned on day 6. They explained it as a mix up within their system and ended up giving us a refund. I'm not entirely sure what happened but it seems like a case of double booking. I wasn't appreciative of the slight attitude and the quick original explanation from the owner the we didn't turn the cart back in on time but we did get a refund so...
Read moreWe stayed here twice this summer with our new trailer. The campground overall is very nice, well kept, sites are spacious and clean. On our first trip, we stayed in a pull through site toward the entrance of the campground. People did not respect quiet hours during that stay. Traffic was in and out all night, and the amount of golf carts breezing through was insane. The site TR08 was very nice, open and grassy but noisy neighbors with loud music all day and night really ruined the stay for us. I appreciated the DJ in the evening can be fun for kids but it should have shut down earlier than 10pm. 4 hours of loud cranking club music wasn't really what we came here for. Despite this, we decided to return for another weekend in October and it was much a much more relaxed and quiet atmosphere. We chose a site in the back of the campground (152) and there was little to no traffic and people were respectful. The campground has nice options for sites, shaded or open. Our dogs loved the little dog park with water fountain. ||In the summer, this place gets packed, loud, and noisy. It would be helpful if they had staff escort you to your sites in a golf cart like most campgrounds do, especially if it's close to dark later in the season. That's just a courtesy that should be offered. Also, $25 for a late checkout, even for an hour, is a bit absurd. Most places charge around $5.00/hr or let you stay for no charge if someone is not checking in to your site that day.||All in all, a pleasant stay the second time. More patrolling of staff throughout the campground is suggested to ensure compliance with quiet hours and campground rules. We come here to relax, spend time with family, and enjoy...
Read moreWent here Last July and it was overall an okay experience. The campground is very clean and the store is nice because it has a lot to offer. However, like what others have said, the seasonal people aren't very nice to outsiders. While we were driving to our site, one of the main roads was blocked off because of a corn hole match going on, so we had to do a loop around the whole campground to get to our site. The person guiding us to the site seemed to forget that we had a 36ft trailer behind us because there were some close calls with a tight bridge and trees. Unfortunately, due to the direction we going in from the main road being closed, it made it impossible to back our trailer onto the site as a result from the awkward angle. After 30 minutes of trial and error, we gave up and went around the campground again and ended up on the road that was more convenient for us. By then, it had started to downpour pretty bad so we figured that the corn hole match would've been over. So we drove through and got screamed at by people on golf carts for interrupting their game even though there was no game because it was downpouring. This was followed by a "Your driving too fast, the speed limit is five miles per hour." We were going four. Our site power post stopped working within the first hour too, but they were very quick to fix it which was great. The owner is very nice as well. We had some great coverasations with her...
