This campground is the perfect way to balance out a trip to the Wisconsin Dells—and it’s only 10 minutes away! 🌲 Dell Pines Campground 📍 Baraboo, WI (Near the Wisconsin Dells!) The feeling of this entire campground is just so relaxing, but it’s not for lack of things to do! The amenities are great and the people are wonderful! It’s just absolutely gorgeous there! If you’re there over a weekend, definitely check out the events. A lot of heart goes into the activities (barrel train rides—complete with a train whistle, treasure hunts, art activities, and gatherings) and it’s clear the owners really do love what they do! They take care of you there, that’s for sure! Enjoy the Wisconsin Dells and come back to a relaxing, sensory-friendly environment. @Nomadic Influence #hiddengems #tiktoktravelcampaign #fulltimerv #wisconsindells #gifted #camping #wisconsin #rvlife #thingstodoinwisconsin #wi #HiddenGems

The trees are the gem of this campground, along with the lovely host family, the Traxlers. We camped in the woody half of the campground, surrounded by lovely, leggy red pines. There is little cover or divide between sites, which can contribute to a crowded feeling for those looking for a private getaway. We were camping with 2 other couples and found the ease of traveling between the sites helped make up for the tight quarters. The photo of the tent I posted was taken from our RV door to our neighbors tent in the next site. (We’re not sharing a site.) During a mid-week camp, you feel as though you have a bit more elbow room. The sites in the trees are sandy, with little grass (thanks to the pines), but an outdoor rug helped keep the sand out of our camper. The campground has a play/games room, small store/office, pickleball court, pool, mini golf and walking path. Some amenities like the golf have a small fee. We enjoyed the walking path and the mini golf on-site but not any of the other amenities. The bath building at the rear of the park is awesome. Large private showers, plenty of rest room stalls, and best of all, a lot of counter space near the sinks and mirrors. Some other reviewers have commented on noise (either claiming overzealous enforcement or perfect conditions). We spoke to the security guard only once, on our first night around the fire, when we didn’t notice the time. He politely asked us to turn off the music and we did. This is not a party campground and it was quiet and comfortable for our friends in a tent to sleep. It is very close to Mirror Lake State Park and we hiked there one day. It’s also convenient to go to the Dells for day-time fun.

Campground location was convenient for doing all the different activities in the Dells. It was a very quiet campground. We were there a Sun-Wed. Campsites weren't huge, but we got #22 on the end and that made it feel roomier. The sites are very sandy, which we didn't like - we were tracking sand into the camper constantly. Facilities were nice. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but my 3 and 7 year old had fun on the playground sets. Biggest complaint is the wood situation. I have no problem with "buy here burn here" BUT, they sold "mixed" bundles for $5.75 and it was clearly the left overs from a saw mill, and 90% bark. The "oak" bundles may have been better but they were $6.75 and both evenings when we stopped to buy more, the office was closed so we couldn't buy any. Our bad for not knowing the office hours, but it stunk not being able to have a fire 2 of the nights because we couldn't buy wood and the 1 night we did have a fire we went through 2 bundles and could hardly keep it going with the crappy wood. And I promise, we aren't newbs to campfires or wisconsin wood. So would I stay again? Maybe, but I'd definitely check out some other campsites and compare before I went back. And if I did, I'd make sure to get more info on the office hours, pay for the more expensive wood. (Currently office closes at 7pm on weeknights, and that includes their ice cream shop we were going to try).

I try to let management and owners address and correct issues before writing a review and I also try to not leave negative reviews. I know what it is like to receive a negative review, I do not want negative reviews and I do everything to rectify the situation before it comes to that point. My family and I mostly stay in state and national park campgrounds, rarely staying in private campgrounds for a number of reasons. Setting those reasons aside, I'd like to start, Dell Pines Campground is extremely clean. Garbage and litter was almost non existent. The Bathroom facility were extremely clean. The Pool was clean and beautifully maintained. They had nice offerings for the kids. The seasonal campsites were well maintained and their occupants were extremely nice. The reason for my rating is this is a "Family Campground." However there were some issues which were not family friendly and rules not enforced. I stayed at the campground across 4 sites. Parents in an air conditioned trailer. 3 adult children family units with grandchildren in tents. 8 of those grandchildren under the age of 14. Quite hours are posted 11 P.M. a little late but workable. On Friday night 10 young adults pull in just after 11 P.M. 1 Camper, 3 cars, 1 tent, all men. They were up until after 2 a.m. It was our fault for not addressing right away. Saturday night by 8 p.m. the individuals appeared to be intoxicated. No making much of an effort to hide urination on the trees in the campsite. Blowing off fireworks. The office was called at about 8 p.m. They sent someone out to address. The fireworks were witnessed by the individual. The situation calmed down. 11 P.M. passed. Radio still playing, fireworks started again, tree branches were being chopped for their fire, loud lewd conversations were heard. Children under the age of 14 in tents learned a lot that evening. Slang for female genitalia were repeatedly used, what happens at strip clubs and what you can get away with..... The office was called at approximately 11:15 p.m. A message was left. They did call back in approximately 5 min. It was nice they called back, because I was about to call the local sheriff. It stopped for a while there were a few more fireworks at almost midnight and it finally calmed down, became quite just after 12:30 A.M. Sunday Morning. I had a discussion with a young man working the front office Sunday morning at 9 A.M. He was polite, but didn't seem to take much stock into the issue. I stopped back in the office at approximately 10:30 A.M. with my wife, spoke to the same gentleman My wife voiced her opinion. We were told that the site would be vacated that evening and he would let the manager/owner know. It was a peaceful evening that evening after the site was vacated. At no time had any management reached back out to even apologize for the situation. I waited 5 full days before posting this. My recommendation, if you are not staying in a more sound proofed camper/trailer/motorhome, please ask how they intend to enforce their quite hours and guests who might not be family orientated before booking your stay. I normally don't take my time to write a review as detailed as this, it was a pretty bad situation that should have never been allowed to start with setting up a site of 10 drinking young men after quite hours. 2 calls to the office, 2 visits and not even an apology. They do have nice clean facilities though. I hope the management/owners institute a better plan and strategy so others do not have the same experience.

In response to the owners response: my name was provided, as well as in the office the next morning. No the campsite # was not provided as we we so perturbed at that time of night I didn't remember the numbers. After spending over $200 a night for our family accommodations on several nights in a row. Still not even an apology in the response. But I was disrespectful at 11 P.M. at night because of unrest they didn't control starting prior to 8 pm. Yes we were upset! A simple apology...

I chose Dell Pine because it had great reviews but within less than 24 hours, I was confronted by the owner because I was practicing my bass guitar(@ 4pm) for an audition I had coming up with a professional band the next week.

I had my small 15 watt practice amp on level 2 & my bass volume less than half way up. I even asked the neighbors(who were 3 sites down) if they mined if I practiced for a bit & they said no, in fact after the matter one neighbor said they rather enjoyed it

Well, the owner comes up to my tent after one song, and yells me its too loud so I apologized, told him why I needed to practice & turned it down more.

Well, that wasn’t enough for this guy. I had three tents set up. A large one for my daughters & their two friends, one for me(I have sleep apnea, so it’s better for me to have my own space & one small one we kept the firewood & the coolers in. He then digs into me stating that I can only have one tent & that my tent was over the boundery. I challenged his approach because for one, nowhere in the brochure does it state anything about multiple tents and all my stuff was between the two posts so I was actually on my site! Besides, there was no one around me at all!! He didn’t like that I challenged his authority & kicked me out of the camp ground. Just like that! I did curse at him(Im an Iraq War Veteran with 100% rate for PTSD) but that was after he decided to boot me & refuse my refund! This is how you treat & act towards disabled veterans!? I’m normally a peaceful & respectful nan but he got what he put into. Then the jerk calls the cops to have me escorted off the premises. Me & my kids that I had to call back from the water park to help pack up. I’ve never been treated so rudely in my life! Im on a fixed income & this guy stole my money! He’s a thief! Don’t book here ever! You can go to Muir Lake State Park and gave a secluded camp site for half of what this guy charges. Shame on Dell Pine Camp Ground! Buyer Beware! Plus the shower room had cockroaches. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

What Mr. Rob the knob (he likes removing my review so I always come back to update it) has failed to mention is that there were no campers near my camp site. Not a one with in 4 sites at all & I already asked the gentleman if he minded my practicing. The other near by people commented to me after my confrontation, that they enjoyed my playing & they should, I have 30+ years experience. This guy gave me zero chance to explain myself before trying to find any further violations. Other camp sites had trailers, tents & multiple vehicles on them yet Mr. Jerk didn’t harass them. In fact, there is nothing in his pamphlet that states I cannot have multiple tents up & in all reality, so what if I do? I overpaid $60 a night for three nights & this guy robbed me blind. It was his condescending attitude & passive aggressive manner that triggered my disability & after I explained that I have issues from serving in Iraq he continued to harass me. That’s when I cursed at him. I was not over the site line either! The sites are clearly marked by posts and all my dtuff was within the two posts. Plus no one was there anyways!!! Mr. Jerk (Rob!) was just badgering me to garner a reaction so he could kick me out & steal my money. He’s a coward & a liar. He has sociopathic tendencies with zero empathy. I hope my hundred dollars was worth the thousands I’m going to cost you! Your refusal to refund me is dishonorable & you know it!

This is an update seeing Rob wants to paint this on me here’s my side of the story one more time! I was practicing my bass at 12:30pm at a very low level! My children were at the water park & I had a huge audition to make on Monday for a professional band.

Again! I had no neighbors around me & the one that was closest to me, I had just got done talking to, gave his blessings when I asked him if he minded of I did some practicing. After Rob the Knob so rudely accosted me, that same neighbor told me too bad, he was enjoying the music. So, this dill hole was the only one who...
