This experience did not deliver the luxury experience promised on the website. There was no âgourmet fareâ as promised on the website. Instead of the individual boxed breakfast advertised, our party of 7 was given a bag of Thomasâ bagels shook out of the bag into a basket and a block of Philadelphia cream cheese. We were told that breakfast sandwiches are for guests âwho stay 2 nights,â and Dawn offered to tell us where we could go to buy them if we wanted them. The property was under construction. There were workers fixing a leak in the breakfast area (which we all understand leaks can happen), but also workers doing wood work on tents at 8am! The tents looked like they do in the pictures and the bathroom area was nice. But the platform tents are not enclosed; there are open gaps between the walls of the tent and the floor which let in a few bugs. The electricity comes from chargers which were left for us the bathroom to bring to the tents and connect in the dark. we could not plug in both lamps in one of our 3 tents because there wasnât a power strip to connect them. While robes were promised, there were not enough for the 3 tents we rented. It was cold at night - thankfully down blankets were provided (and left rolled up in a bag for us to remake the bed). Sâmore ingredients were provided- in a ziplock bag that contained opened marshmallows and Graham crackers previously used by prior guests. All in all, the experience felt like it was under construction and corners were cut. It did not live up to itâs charming description on the website, or the promise of luxury glamping. Dawn was very friendly. She should have disclosed that the site was under construction, and that the breakfast would not be as promised, and the price adjusted...
Read moreMy husband and I took a weekend to âscout outâ the Finger Lakes region for future longer vacations and we were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation for a platform tent for a couple days in July 2024. Natureluxe and Stars was like Heaven on Earth! The owner, Dawn -who couldnât be nicer and more welcoming greeted us upon our arrival and gave us the grand tour. It was even better than expected - beautiful grounds, SO CLEAN! The bathrooms/showers are beautiful - impeccably clean and huge! Beds in tents were so comfortable. Tents equipped with fan, lamp and batter pack for plugs and chargers. There are fire pits all over the property which the employees light at dusk. Also a very large roofed common area with tons of seating, outdoor games and activities. A small common kitchen with complementary coffee and breakfast items. And a common fridge for guests to use. Dawn was in touch with us the entire time via text to make sure we had everything we needed and was so responsive, kind and gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Natureluxe just had a really nice friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Close to raceway - which we did not get a chance to check out, but it looked really cool and even though there was a race the weekend we were there, we could barely hear the cars - and they are over by about 5pm. The location 5 min from Watkins Glen State Park and the town of Watkins Glen was awesome. We were close to everything. Did the Gorge Trail, drove around Lake Keuka and also up and down Lake Seneca. Also visited several restaurants in Watkins Glen and visited about ten wineries, breweries, etc along the Seneca wine trail. We hope to make this an annual trip and will bring our family and friends for...
Read moreIt is very normal for any new business to undergo growing pains and I suspect much of our issues are due to this being such a new business. The location is good and the concept of âglampingâ should have been a lot of fun however we had booked a 3-night stay and ended up only staying the first night and getting a hotel for the other 2 nights (that alone should tell you enough about our experience). There was no breakfast, robes, power, fans, mosquito nets and no lights going to your tent (I mean zero) and itâs very, very dark at night. You can ask for a power pack but just know it only has 2 plugs and power for a few hours before it runs out. We could only turn on one light and the fan (which we had to ask for) for a few hours before we lost power. I would plan on charging your phone in your car and be sure to bring a good flashlight and plenty of bug spray because the tents have a lot of gaps in them so youâll be sleeping with a few insects (itâs nature after all). And when it rains (which it did), itâs pretty much a dark and dangerous mudslide to/from your tent to the bathroom or car. Also you should know that thereâs no way to secure your belongings in your tent so I wouldnât bring anything valuable because even though no one was supposed to enter our tent during our stay, it was obvious someone had been inside when we...
