Camp Nageela is an incredible experience.
This isn't your grandma's summer camp; folks, every meal was amazingly delicious, the bedding was near hotel quality, and unlike some other summer camps, this one has centralized AC (it was awesome). Also, Camp Nageela has two pools—an indoor and an outdoor one!
The staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone, from the Jr. staff to the directors, is always kind, helpful, and fun! Let's not forget that any staff member (and junior staff member) is always open to teaching about Judaism (or really anything you are interested in), and if they don't know, they can learn along with you.
Do you have a hobby? If so, dive into it even more. If not, pick one out from the nearly endless list: guitar, cooking, theater, really whatever you like. If they don't have something for you, they let you make your own hobby. computer programming was one that was made when I was attending.
This camp is okay for all ages accepted, but especially AMAZING for 3rd–7th graders.
While the grounds are wonderful, a big part of Camp Nageela are the trips.
just to give an idea of what a one-day trip might look like.
You start off by going ATV mud driving, followed by a great whitewater rafting trip where you can race kayaks (or just chill like I did; great time). After that, enjoy a quick lunch break, then back to the adventurous fun with a ropes course and finally an indoor water park!
Shabbat is an extremely special time at Camp Nageela, where the whole camp comes together for rest, learning, and fun!
what's that? COLOR WAR BREAK OUT!
Now you might be confused as to why you hear veteran Camp Nageela kids saying this so often. Well, imagine an amazing 2-day camp competition between two teams competing head-to-head in everything from sports to theater to wilderness survival skills or even fun games like laser tag.
After all, that, keep the fun and Jewish learning continuing through the rest of the year with Julu Extreme, an amazing virtual learning program where you can learn as much or as little as you want with any staff member from Camp Nageela and win awesome prizes.
All in all, if you like summer camp, you'll love...
Read moreI was so stressed and worried about Agam going to camp so far away in a different country with no ability to communicate daily (over the phone), but today I can say that I am so thankful for this opportunity (thanks rabbi Schenker and his kind willingness to help). Agam had only good things to say about camp, she enjoyed every minute and she told me she didn’t feel the need to be on her phone. I followed the camp on all social media sites and I saw a camp full of joy, kind people, and I felt like camp gave my daughter values that even in Israel she could not have gotten. I saw the very nice side of religious, I saw how much thought was invested in everything in camp, all the amazing activities, the Bat Mitzvah that left me speechless and much more. today I see many things different then before camp, and thanks to rabbi Shenker that made it possible for a little girl with a big dream to make her dream come true, and that Camp Nageela was the best thing that ever happened to her. I am so grateful for everything you have done for us to make it possible and I wish you all the best, the world is missing more people like you.
Thank you so much!

Read moreThank you to all who work with such dedication so that Camp Nageela can host these beautiful girls for the most amazing summer experience. My granddaughter called me on her way home and when I asked her if she would go again next year, she answered yes before I finished the question. She returned with a permanent smile on her face and throughout the weekend recounted events with great enthusiasm and energy, which was immensely gratifying. It became clear to me that the staff are caring and compassionate. This has been a character-building experience for our granddaughter in which she learned many new sports and activities and formed life long friendships. Thank you again...
