Read moreMan I was in Troop 97 from Leonardo/ Atlantis Highlands NJ. Had a great time there in the summer in the early 70s. We did a winter camp and it was 18 below with 3 foot of ice on the lake and about that much snow and here we are in a tent, with straw and newspapers as a floor with a tarp over that. We would throw bricks in the fire and pull them out to put in our sleeping bags by our feet. I only went that one time in the winter. A few of us ended up in the lodge after midnight with a bunch of other scouts laying on tables around the huge fire place and I had good boots where some just had converses on there feet...What a blast...Now I live...

We have a 55' and a 105' natural rock face that we use for our climbing meritbadge. We currently sit on 1277 acres of some of the most beauitful woodlands in the county overlooking the Rio resevoir. We have a PRIVATE 55 acre lake. Do take note tho that this is NOT a public property and is currently owned by the Monmouth Council Boy scouts of America.
