This campground was very family oriented. There is LOTS TO DO FOR KIDS. They had a huge pool with a covered slide and many activities scheduled or children. The showers were WITHOUT water pressure but visually appeared clean. However, I liked the shower stall set up. Behind the first curtain was a stool to put your necessities on. Behind the second curtain was the actual shower. There two corners that could hold small toiletries but they could use an additional over the shower toiletry holder. The campsites were big and deep but had no septic. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time! The only septic available were annual sites, which there were a lot of!! The campground was well wooded at the annual sites but we were placed near a mosquito infested swamp they call a pond. We were nowhere near a restroom or any of the facilities or anyone else. It was if we were " segregated outsiders " across the street from a porta potty that smelled like it had not been changed out summer. The laundry facilities were only $1 for a wash and a dry but there was only one washer and one dryer. Each site had its own fire ring, which is always nice. It also offered Wi-Fi but we had to pay for it???? The hours were posted at closing at 7pm but when we arrived at 4pm they were closed. There were teens driving around on campground golf carts but were not of assistance, I'm not sure if they actually worked there or were just joy riding. When I travel I have packages sent to me. I did receive my home chef package undisturbed, however, an Amazon package I had sent was opened!!!! Even though my name was clearly written in the address label!!! Isn't that against the law? To top it off, I was expecting a deliver of another package which had bee delivered on the 28th per tracking #. I went to the office on the 20th to retrieve it and they said it wasn't there. That was when they handed me my opened package and informed me that the PO is only open from 11-3 and they haven't had time to get there....for 2 days!!!! Well we were leaving the next day and had to wait until 11 to go to the PO ourselves to get the package. The staff were NOT helpful at all. Of the 2 women and one young man I had encountered behind the counter it was obvious that they were there only for a paycheck. I had to pry information from them they were not willing to offer it freely, for example about receiving Mail and the Post Office. I had called the office TWICE for 2 different reasons on two different occasions and specifically asked them to call me back to verify they had received my message I got no such call. As a matter of fact, I went into the office the day after o had placed one of Jose calls to make sure they had received it and she said "I haven't had a chance to listen to the messages from yesterday" and this was at 11am! There was no one in the lobby except myself. The young man was filing something and as far as I could tell, the woman was on the computer. She acted as if I was disturbing her and would just stare at me blankly when I would ask he a question. The answers came from the young man. So, on the day we were to leave I went to the PO myself. Luckily the lady at the ,PO let me pick it up. She also told me that they had a bad habit of not picking up their mail for long periods of time. So, NO. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I WILL NOT RETURN.

Definitely not the same since Thousand Trails took over. Used to be a great campground with plenty of activities and amenities for the kids! Not a good value at all. Started by getting to my site, it was flooded, fire pit was full, and there was garbage on the site. Sadly when mentioned, I was told, yeah, someone just checked out! Check out was 11, I didn't get there until 130. No one had checked it. Maintenance came to look at flooding issue, pulled up, said, "yeah, this isn't gonna work." He then drove off. When into the office spoke with Dee, she was kind and tried hard but I feel that she was trying to cover and make excuses for her lacking management Dee was able to help me get into a different site, but it was not what I had requested or reserved- which you pay $20 extra to do! Unfortunately, issues remained, the electrical box was not fully operational, Maintenance came by reset the breaker and drove away. Gee thanks, like I hadn't already done that! Tested it and it still didn't work. Thankfully they called in a competent speedy electrician who was able to resolve the issue. I had one interaction with the manager, but felt the issue was only addressed because I caught her off guard. Seemed very dismissive or overwhelmed with so many other issues. The store is pretty much empty, advising its end of season so they didn't restock. No bottled water, 3 sodas, etc... They did have 20% all park merchandise, but I don't really want to advertise for them. Many things were out of order or in need of repair- slide has a leak in the landing pool- out of order, bathrooms, tho visited regularly by staff had no soap, jumping pillow was out of service, and the mini golf course needed serious attention and cleaning. I am still waiting on a refund for the site difference and reservation request fee that I was told would take place Friday. Again, Dee was as helpful as she could be and it was all very much appreciated. The young staff sadly was not personable and spent more time on cell phones on reading books than attending to guests. If you go, make sure to check your suspension systems, even at 5mph your vehicle will take a beating with the large uncared for pot holes. If you are looking for a place to take your family for a care free, kid friendly get away, unfortunately this campground is not it. Gone are the days when it was Jellystone and a great destination. Keep driving by!

We were very surprised this used to be a Jellystone Park. We were under the impression the slide was "closed for repairs," but were told by other campers that it's never open. We encountered dirty bathrooms. One toilet in the ladies room had poop on the lid for two days. It appeared it was probably left there by a child, but still. I tried to clean it off, but didn't have the right supplies. We were extremely disappointed to have NO sewer hookups while there. When checking in, no one mentioned this. Once we got to our site, my husband realized there's no sewer hookup. I called the office and was told "Oh, I guess Thousand Trails didn't give you a premium site." No, you don't get to pick and choose when you want me to give you a good review that it's Thousand Trails' fault or when it's Fremont RV Campground's fault. I requested a sewer hookup though my Thousand Trails reservation. They had sewer sites available. They CHOSE not to give it to us. We live in our RV full-time and travel. This is our home. When we ask for a sewer site, it would be nice if someone would tell us it's not going to happen BEFORE we're given our site assignment. For this reason, I don't foresee that we'll ever be back, nor would we recommend this campground. There are a lot of overgrown trees on corners there. This needs to be taken care of too. Finally, the staff is not friendly. We were not impressed by our one and only stay in Wisconsin. There's not much to do in the area. There is a waterski show on Wednesdays and Sundays (evening) near The Bridge Restaurant and other restaurants on the river. All the stores and shopping you could ever want are in Oshkosh.

On july14,2016 we took my daughter and her family for a scheduled 2 night stay for my granddaughters 9th birthday per her request. We checked Into the site 62 which when I called originally, I asked if it had green space, the lady on the other end was kind enough to check via her golf cart as she wasn't certain and I returned the call as she asked. Upon checkin by a very nice lady, she highlighted site #62 on our sheet, gave us 2 car passes with site #62 clearly written gave us the bag and we set up our 30 ft camper and tent. We had a family emergency shortly after setting everything up forcing us to immediately leave rushing to a medical facility then to drive back a few hours later to pack everything up to hurry home to care for family. A young man from camp stopped at our site while packing up to tell us we were on the wrong site which was odd. We showed him the car passes with #62 on 2 of them and our checkin letter. We were already almost packed. I called up to the checkin where a person ( i am with holding her name) answered explaining our emergency and asked If we could please get a credit or a vochure for another time as we have to leave immediately . She started no. I drove up to the checkin area to explain why we had to leave, as we were still awaiting my husband to get back to rehook the trailer on my truck. I again told her we had a family emergency that we had just gotten back from and needed to leave as soon as my husband arrived. Her words were, I need you off the site now as your on the wrong site. I asked how that could be? She said it was NOT HER fault. She said it was probably something I did or a computer glitch. I said I had no way of making an error such as this. I dont work their. Instead of being courteous and saying I'm sorry you have an emergency, she started attacking me in front of several people not taking responsibility for the error and wanted us to move immediately as the people were waiting for THAT site and we were to move to a site in the #50's. First off a family emergency occurred out of our hands, as we'd rather Camp and have fun verses something bad occurring. After all we were there ro celebrate a childs birthday. Life isn't perfect, things happen out of our control causing changes. Family is first to us! I've been in the nursing field most all my life and NEVER would I ever, speak to ANYONE, especially someone whose already sad and hurt in the way she did or I would have been terminated. I again asked for a credit or a vochure to come back and she said no. I asked for her manager and she said she's on a 2 hours conference call, yesterday a 6 hour call of which I can understand. A very nice girl leaned over and handed me a card with the supervisors info. To be treated like that after spending hours driving to and from twice with many tears as my daughter and I had been rushing around to pack us all back up again. Then for someone to show NO empathy and embarrass me in front of people by ending the conversation by, if you were a nicer person maybe bad things wouldn't happen to you. I couldn't believe what I had just heard come out of her mouth. I told her I felt it her best interest to take a customer service class. I walked out we awaited 15 minutes for my husband to get us hitched up while the young man on the golf cart continued to drive past twice again, while we were trying to get out and where we needed to be, by family. I will NEVER recommend this Campground of which we've always enjoyed since I was a child, to anyone based on how we were treated by this person ever. Without out the family emergency being a factor, if they have already set you up in a site and your completely unpacked and fully set up, would you really ask people to repack everything up and move at that point? Wouldn't you apologize to the people who came after you and find them accommodations in another site. We saw many empty sites. Her LACK of empathy and just human kindness were heartbreaking. I am still awaiting a call from management. No one should be...

I’m sorry to say that our experience here has been very unsatisfactory.

We arrived late afternoon on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. There were 4 of us in 2 motor coaches. We had previously reserved 2 spots adjacent to each other that would accommodate a 40’ and 45’ Class A coache.

If it was one issue, or even 2, things happen and we’re pretty darn understanding, not letting too much rattle us.

Here is a list of issues: We were assigned spots 261 & 262. Spot 262 has someone in it who said they’d been told they could they could leave much later. We had to wait for that spot to be freed up and were finally able to set up our unit around dusk. We’d also been told the sites were pull through, they were not. We’d been told the spots had full service, they did not, there was no sewer facilities. We were told they would pump us out, all we had to do was to notify them. We’d been told the spots we’d reserved had 50 AMP service, they did not. They did attempt to relocate us so one of the sites would have the promised 50 Amps, but they were not adjacent to one another, nor would we have been able to back either unit into the spots had we decided to take them. Note, there were many sites unoccupied but we were not allowed to use them. They’d been allocated to others for the weekend. It was OK to impact us, though. We’d specifically asked and been told that we could use our ATV’s in the camp ground, we could not. They would, however, gladly rent us golf carts to use in the facility. Saturday, August 11th, early in the morning we both called and texted the contact numbers to request a pump out, as both units needed it. They neither returned the call, nor responded to our text. We were gone for the day, returning a few minutes after 5:00. As soon as we returned, my wife went to the office and asked about the pump out we’d requested. They said they usually stopped pumping at 5:00 but would see if they could get it done. As I write this, it’s been ocer an hour and a half, we haven’t been pumped, nor have they contacted us. Given their integrity thus far, I assume they will neither pump us out tonight, nor even contact us either way.

Not only did they misrepresent themselves to us, they did not follow through on the commitments they made, and I certainly am not expecting any apology.

I’m sure others have had good experiences. Ours, however, was the worst service we’d had. The young staff was nice, but they did not address our issues. We received conflicting reply’s from them and not one of them put the customer, in this case us, first.

We will NOT visit another...
