My family and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely, clean and relaxing place this past 4th of July weekend. I wanted to celebrate my birthday by treating my family to a weekend getaway from the stressful NYC life, especially during the pandemic and most of us are frontliners/essential workers and have been socially distant for 3 months. The minute you set foot on the property, you can feel the stress slowly leaving your body. The house and the host, Alana, is warm and welcoming. Well, the house is cool with centralized AC- always a plus during summertime. I was lucky to rent out all the rooms for my family, so we have the house all to ourselves. Each room smells relaxing, has it's own personality & vibe and beautifully decorated. I picked the Heather Room. Ensuite bathrooms are squeaky clean with luxe yet eco-friendly toiletries. Linens and towels are soft, clean and fresh, I especially like that I can smell a slight bleach scent on the soft towels-because that indicates extra clean and the host clearly cares (not paranoid or OC, but I can appreciate this during COVID time). The living room is so pretty and bright. The dining room is spacious with nice antique furnitures and fine bone china decors. I miss sitting in the front porch with my family, enjoying the sounds of nature & the view of mountains/greenery during day (there's a hammock too), the smell of fresh air and grass, especially after the rain and the calm night, full moon and fireflies. It's so quiet at night, which is great for rest and relaxation. The almost-deafening silence freaked me out at first coz my ears and brain are so used to NYC noise and hospital sounds/beeps/alarms. It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, but you're actually close to the town center, stores, shops, farms, restaurants, bars, wineries/cideries, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, etc. Other than being accommodating, flexible and making sure the BEDs are comfortable and restful sleep- inducing, Alana also makes delicious, farm-fresh BREAKFAST. Scrumptious quiche, banana bread and scones. All my senses are satisfied. The entire place looks, smells, feels, sounds and tastes...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful bed and breakfast, and I truly can't say enough good things about it. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a peaceful charm that instantly puts you at ease.
One of the standout features of this B&B is the variety of crafting workshops offered on-site. Each class was led by talented and passionate instructors who created such an enjoyable, creative environment. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a total beginner, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The outdoor space is just as impressive as the indoor charm. The patio and backyard are spacious and beautifully maintained, with a stunning view of the mountains that becomes absolutely magical at sunset. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing glass of wine or a cozy picnic with friends and family.
A special thank you to Alana, the owner, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. She was incredibly helpful, always available to answer questions or offer local recommendations. Her hospitality made a great experience even better.
And let’s not forget the homemade breakfast—what a treat! Each morning started with a delicious, thoughtfully prepared meal that set the tone for the rest of the day. It truly felt like a home away from home.
I can't recommend this place enough—whether you're looking for a relaxing retreat, a creative escape, or just some quality time with loved ones in a beautiful setting, this bed and...
Read moreI recently had a girls weekend getaway at Watergrasshill and could not recommend the property enough. We were a group of 8 and were able to reserve all 4 bedrooms for the weekend. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom so it was perfect for a group of girls. We loved how charming the place is and was exactly as pictured. The BnB is renovated so has modern luxuries like central air and updated bathrooms, while still keeping its farmhouse charm with original fixtures and hardwood floors.
Alana, the owner, was amazing to work with and so accommodating. She was very responsive by phone or email and answered all our questions about the area. We wanted to do a private cooking class in the studio kitchen attached to the BnB and she was able to arrange that. We also arranged a private car service to do a wine tour in the surrounding area - Alana was able to recommend some companies and wineries to visit.
The homemade breakfast in the morning was a major plus, delicious food without the hassle of grocery shopping, cooking or cleaning for a party of 8. Alana made sure to ask about dietary restrictions/ allergies beforehand. There is also a coffee/tea bar that is accessible throughout the day. It was great to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch. The grounds are stunning and great for sunset as well.
You won't be disappointed if you book Watergrasshill for your stay. The owner is so sweet and very dedicated to making the BnB your...
