Listen folks. If you’re looking for a quiet place to rest on the outskirts of town, this is the place. ||Very clean and quiet reserve.||Close to gas, grocery, travelers trinkets, eats, fishing and a bar, if you desire. Beautiful roads lead to anywhere in the Door County area.||We had the room with a kitchenette which was very helpful. They also have a fish cleaning area separate from the rooms which was a nice surprise!||We only stayed for one night but we got the best nights sleep in a long time! Again, very quiet.||We were there in February and the parking lot was meticulously plowed and plenty of parking for any sized vehicle, big or small. The walkway was cleared right down to the cement...no slipping hazards. Benches outside if you just wanna sit.||Plenty of lighting inside and out. The outside light may be left on all night or turned off for more darkness, which we love!||Huge beds, and fresh sheets, blankets and comforters...which I am a true critic when it comes to that.||Decent sized bathroom with plenty of fresh towels.||Nice TV and a place to store your luggage or overnight bags.||Decent sized refrigerator in the kitchenette along with a table and seating for two, which was very nice and quaint. Items in the kitchen cabinets like plates, paper towels, plasticware and dishes.||Never saw a cobweb or a layer of dust!||We are returning next month for a fishing trip and we are booking with the Countryside Motel and RV again. ||Please support these mom and pop places. You won’t be...
Read moreHaving traveled for many years and staying in hundreds and hundreds of hotels/motels this motel takes the number 1 spot for the worst motel. When entering the room you we were hit with a musty smell that was overwhelming. I would guess the room hasn’t been updated since the motel was built decades ago. The carpeting was so worn and dirty it required me to keep my shoes on. I counted only 2 outlets in the room and one was used for the refrigerator, coffeemaker, lamp and room deodorize which seems like a fire hazard as one prong was not even in the extension cord. After noticing what looked like mold we asked to be moved to a different room and this one was slightly better. The coffee maker didn’t work so we asked for a replacement and when we returned later in the day there was a coffee maker outside our door still in the box. The toilet leaked in the second room and there was water on the floor. When we let her know about the toilet she informed us it would be repaired after we left. Because of it being the week of July 4th they charged a premium price for a room that should go for at the most $39.95. Again because of the 4th all other hotel were book so we couldn’t move. Management asked for my feedback and I supplied them with my feedback and grievances and have not heard back from them. Also note management is not on site. One final suggestion, DO...
Read moreMotel was nice but not the cleanliness. Dead flys on the kitchen counter and dark black hairs in our bath tub when we checked in. When leaving we got scolded at by the owner of how we had “trashed” our motel. He stated while we were gone yesterday he had went into our room and it was disgusting. First off why did you have any reason to go into our room when you left no clean towels or anything like that. Second off we would wake up, leave, come back and go to bed by 10pm, how can we trash a motel? When we had asked for proof or how it was disgusting he stated “if you don’t know now you never will.” I’m sure we were getting targeted because we were young. There were beer bottles left out in front of front door that wasn’t ours because we didn’t have beer nor did we drink that kind. Very disappointing end to our weekend and we will not come back. So if you stay here lock your valuables/medications up since they just like to come in...
