Upon arriving the first thing we see are 2 beautiful horses. Which love company and are friendly. Then we checked in and Lisa was amazing, I travel frequently this was my most warm and welcoming encounter I have ever received anywhere. Felt like I was right at home. They also have two of the most friendly dogs ever as well, who I was able to cuddle with. This place has great relaxing and quiet scenery, a pond you can fish in, benches where you can sit and read a book or drink tea under the pine trees, a swing overlooking the pond. A gazebo with a fire-pit and firewood. Lisa and Dave do an excellent job at maintaining this property inside and out, you can tell their hearts are set on making their inn an enjoyable stay for each and every one of their guests. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing get away this is the place to be. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Impeccably clean which I loved. I stayed in the wicker room and there is also a little outdoor balcony to have breakfast or dinner overlooking the pond. Extra pillows and blanket in my room. Chargers for your devices in multiple spots of the room which is a plus. In close proximity to Devils Lake State park, gas stations, market, restaurants, circus museum and a fifteen minute drive to the Dells. If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. Highly recommended and until next time Lisa and Dave cause I sure will be coming back to visit. Keep up the fantastic work at your place, God bless you guys and take care of...
Read moreI always consider Pinehaven for accommodations any time I'm visiting the Baraboo area. Dave and Lisa are consummate hosts always ready and willing to share information to help you enjoy your stay and find adventures in the area. It's a beautiful, yet accessible spot tucked away like it is below Highway 33. You never hear any noise, and the view of the small lake framed by the blue bluffs in the distance makes me feel like I'm in the Appalachian range. It's a very cozy hideaway out away from the city, and perfectly situated for all the outdoors adventures one might be planning in the area. If you get a chance to walk around the lake, it frees your mind to wonder and contemplate things. The birds are busy at all the feeders at sunrise making a welcome distraction while you sip on your first morning coffee. Of all the nice things I could say about the Inn, tranquility is its major attraction for me. As a writer, a sojourn at Pinehaven is the ideal setting to allow my creative powers to peak while my soul feels comfortably at home. Considering the Baraboo range is one of the best natural areas in the country (Aldo Leopold's cabin is only seven miles away, John Muir grew up twenty miles Northeast of the Inn, and Thoreau stayed on the Wisconsin River and wrote about nearby Portage), Pinehaven serves as kind of modern day Thoreau cabin on Walden Pond for me. An escape with much better appointments and comforts than the poet writer...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at Pinehaven Country Inn, and I can confidently say that it will be my first choice for accommodations whenever I’m in the area. From the moment I arrived, the hosts, Lisa and David, made me feel right at home. Their warmth and attentiveness were unmatched, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The inn itself is impeccably clean, with rooms that are not only cozy but also thoughtfully designed to offer a relaxing retreat. One of the standout features is the consistently hot water, available at any time, which adds a comforting touch to the stay. The grounds of Pinehaven are just as impressive as the inn itself. Guests have the option to fish in the pond or enjoy a peaceful boat ride. In the evenings, gathering around the fireplace is the perfect way to unwind, while mornings offer the ideal opportunity for a refreshing run or walk along the property line. Located just 7 minutes away from downtown Baraboo, Pinehaven Country Inn strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and convenience. Whether you're in town for a quick getaway or a longer stay, Pinehaven offers everything you need for a memorable experience. I can't...
