I was at Sunny Hill not too long ago, I have been going there for couple years, normally I never complain about Sunny Hill, the view never gets old, when I go up the first thing when I spots the view felt like I’d never left, great service, great people and great hospitality as always…but here’s a bit of issue not a massive complaint but for Thursday nights Lake Party at the Pavilion, don’t know it been like the same with other weeks but I was there last week, luckily last year that the DJ of last years Lake Party last week of July, July 25, but this year that the DJ (not want to say the DJs name) will say the DJ is pretty good DJ, but here’s the problem like when it gets late when the other people played Drinking Games yes the others was playing Drinking Games, I was as well this was during the Drinking Games as well as mine, when Meatloaf’s ‘Paradise By The Dashboard Lights’ seems to be an Thursday Night Pavilion song the week I normally come I don’t know other weeks does the same so I don’t know it was last year or two years ago it’s a different DJ one of the two other years, that I don’t know other weeks would consider these two songs Sunny Hill hits Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’ and Don McClean’s ‘American Pie’. So I’m saying for our week, always the last week of July that those three songs Dashboard Lights, Sweet Caroline and American Pie was the last songs like around maybe 1:45 ish before 2 am like when everyone was done the Drinking Games, I’m just saying that this year that missed when everyone will be on tables, Dashboard Lights Men on one side, the women on the other and plus those three when everyone was singing and dancing together. Yes, I did stated that I don’t have complaints but here’s a complaint recently. Plus he don’t take any request after Meatloaf.
Will say for the ones haven’t went to Sunny Hill, been there for years, haven’t been there for years or first time will say this you will have a time of you life. The family runs Sunney Hill they do love when people come, either they’re new or old, they support our first responders, our military and love United States. There are very patriotic. God Bless to Sunny Hill, hope to see you again next year and enjoy rest...
Read moreI spent a few days here for vacation and it was alright. I felt like there wasn't much to do. The place feels outdated but it looked like some of it was getting renovated. Our room was the one of the lower rooms and seemed cheap. The more expensive rooms seem better. You get 3 meals a day which is always on time however the food was okay. Don't except gourmet food. Some of it was bland and you don't get much. If you ask for more food they will give it. They also have rides like a firetruck, military vehicles, trolly, etc. The rides are fun but they go one the same trail. Not a bad place for kids which they have alot of activities for. The adult stuff is usually at night and of you have kids don't expect to be at those late events. If you golf you may like this place. If you come with a family you will probably have more fun. Alot of people come here every year with families and they we're have a good time. Two things I really like was the fireworks show and the staff. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Not sure if I...
Read moreThis was the first trip to Sunny Hill Resort for my wife and I. We were looking for a 3 day get away and we thought we would give it a try. The food was excellent, rooms clean and spacious, and the staff certainly went out of their way to insure we had a great time during our stay. But the views, absolutely breath taking and worth the 4 hour drive.
We met a gentleman from North Dakota there who had never been to NY before and had the stereo typical idea of our state being one big city filled with many angry and rood people. He couldn't believe how beautiful and rural the area was and how nice the people were. He left with a very positive experience which I'm sure he'll share with others in his home state.
I cannot comment on the golf. I am not a golfer but I can tell you the greens looked very nice and their was no lack of golfers on any of them.
We are already planning a trip there again for next year.
Two Happy Customers from the...
