Andelyn Farm — Hotel in Town of Hartford

Absolutely delightful in every aspect. The property is stunningly beautiful, and the hosts are nothing short of wonderful. We stayed in a yurt that was just perfect, equipped with electric heating for the cooler nights. The level of cleanliness was exceptional, creating a cozy, homelike atmosphere rather than the impersonal feel of a hotel. The blankets appeared brand new and not worn in the slightest, emitting a fresh scent of eucalyptus and mint that was incredibly inviting. The yurt was fully stocked with everything one could need, from flavored coffees and various sweeteners to donuts and bottled water. The quality of silverware and plates provided was top-notch. There were lighting options to suit every mood, enhancing the serene sounds of the nearby river. Outside, a personal picnic table awaited, complete with a campfire and grill. The bathhouse was equally impressive, spotlessly clean with wonderfully scented soap, and showers that boasted strong water pressure and an endless supply of hot water. An experience like none other! We just came back today after spending six nights in our yurt at Andelyn Farm. First, Lyn and Andy were very warm and welcoming when we arrived - it was obvious the amount of hard work, love, and dedication they put into their home and land every day. This serene property is over 100 acres and encompasses beautiful trails and rolling hills with spectacular views.

The yurt was gorgeous and very neat and clean with its own basic amenities like a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, grill, etc. It was the perfect size for us with our kids and dog. The country charm was inherently beautiful, and perfectly complimented the relaxing atmosphere. I can't say enough about how clean the bathrooms and showers were. I was so impressed with how spotless they were maintained.

I usually wake up quite a bit at night when I am home, but the very first night we stayed there I slept the entire night and woke up feeling great and well rested! Staying at Andelyn Farm was truly cathartic for all of us. Lyn and Andy are very genuine and kind, which made it so comfortable to talk to them. We felt as if we were part of their family. If you want high adrenaline activities and neon lights don't go here. If you want peace, nature, comfort and independence then Andelyn Farm is ideal. ||||Set in glorious countyside with woods, ponds and farmland, this site is excellent for relaxing and seeing nature without having to wake up with backache from hard ground. The Yurts are extremely well provisioned, with good attention to detail (no need to tell the kids that there is WiFi) and very comfortable. Lyn's welcome pack of basic provisions to get you started is a lovely touch. If you really feel the need to self flagilate through primative camping, then this is also catered for. The toilet/shower/washing facilities are excellent. ||||There are a number of trails through the woods to explore and we saw squirels, deer, beaver and heard cayote. We enjoyed using the kayaks and pedalos on the pond with a dip in the pool making a perfect end to a hot day.
