Facility is mainly a cabin, cottage, and RV facility minutes away from Cooperstown NY. The showers cost 25 cents per 6 minutes, plugs in the bathroom are not on or working, toilet paper rolls have spin stoppers (more annoying than anything as you can only pull a square at a time), and the bathrooms never got cleaned while we were there Friday thru Monday. Second stall in ladies room had a non flushing toilet due to faulty broken handle, and the third stall had a clogged toilet the entire time we were there. Tent sites C1 thru C 10 are essentially so primitive some barely exist and there is no parking per site causing ppl to park on the lawn in front of each site and carry supplies to their site. Tent Sites BC1-4, very private, a little better but still lacking in parking, causing ppl to carry in and park elsewhere. Tent sites by the pond were difficult to differentiate one site from another and the ones, on the hill, across the road from pond sites looked very small, not flat and difficult to pull in and back out of without pulling fully into the pond site. Tent road is very narrow causing issues when trying to back into or pull out of any site. If you should get there while it’s rainy the owner will allow you to check out the site to ensure it will work for you. Ours were wet so they allowed us to move down to sites T13 & T14 which were larger and easier to park vehicles at. There is laundry room which can be helpful, bring quarters as virtually nothing is free here, I was surprised they didn’t charge to get access...
Read more20 minutes max drive to Cooperstown all star village in oneonta, beautiful drive. Lots of restaurants in close proximity. Highly suggest the rusty bison and barnyard mini golf. We tented for one night next to the pond- it was BEYOND peaceful and enjoyable. Amy was absolutely amazing at the front desk. She was so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing night listening to the sounds of the pond. The bathrooms were immaculate, laundry machines were a little on the pricier side for a not so huge washer, but they worked well and were well kept! Detergent was much cheaper there though than a laundromat so that was a plus! We came back a few days later and stayed in a camping cabin. The ness were comfy, a fan and space heater were included, as well as a microwave and good size mini fridge. WiFi service wasn’t great through the campground but worked well near the check in cabin. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, the pool was spotless and maintained, and because we forgot a drying pan, our friend on the golf cart was quite the gentlemen and let us use a cast iron pan and potholder to make a great breakfast over the fire. We 100000% would visit here again and look forward to...
Read moreIf you are going to Cooperstown for a baseball tourney, especially one at Dreams Park, this is a solid option for the family. Clean, safe campground with lots a space and amenities. Pool for swimming, pond for fishing, games, and ballfields, plenty to do to keep families occupied in between games. Shop was stocked well too with firewood, smores provisions, bait, etc. ||Stayed in one of the furnished cabins and our friends stayed in the tiny home. Both were small but had minimum requirements for the stay (bathroom/shower, kitchenette, etc). No linens made it a bit more complicated but nothing a quick trip to Walmart cannot solve.||We hosted a team party on the ball field one night, which worked out perfect. Used community grills, fire pit, and tables. ||Only downside is they are pretty strict on visitors and who could use the pool. (good for those camping that are not there for baseball, bad for the families who would have loved having the team over to go swimming after a couple of...
