Hiles-Pine Lake Campground — Hotel in Town of Hiles

This is an amazing campground. The owners work very very hard hard. The grounds are well manicured and all of the bathroom facilities from the toilets to the showers are very very clean and are either brand new or have been updated in a very modern and tasteful way. There is a mix of seasonal and daily/weekly rental sites. All of the seasonal sites are well kept by the owners. And there is a nice mix of daily/ weekly rentals available. Some are right on the lake. Pine Lake is one of the largest lakes in the area and has the wild river flowing through. Boat slips are available and are conveniently located in very close proximity to the lake front camp sites. There is a good mix of young and old guests. All the guests are quiet and respectful of each other. The kids fishing from the docks are absolutely adorable and so are the older folks who go out in their boats each morning for an early morning fish. This campground is in a phenomenal location, only a half hour drive to the fun in Eagle River if you are in search of a little more excitement. But then come back here for a quiet evening by the campfire. For those of you who can't give up your technology, there is great U.S. cellular service here. I've had four bars most of the time. We had a 5 day stay at the newly built cabin with our 18 month old, and we all had an amazing time. The cabin is beautiful inside and out, with plenty of room to make you feel comfortable. It has bedroom with a large bed complete with nice sheets and a closet, a separate room with a bunk bed with nice sheets, and a pull-out couch for extra sleeping space if needed. Plenty of extra blankets as well. There is also a nice dining table with four chairs next to the kitchen, which had every pot, pan, cup, plate, and utensil you could want, fully furnished with a fridge, sink with hot and cold water, stove top, microwave, toaster and a coffee maker. There is also an air conditioner which works wonderfully, and the windows have screens to let in that nice summer breeze. Also two ceiling fans keep things extra cool when it gets warm outside. There's also a TV with an antenna. The cabin is close to the bathrooms and showers which are some of the nicest showers we've come across at a camp ground. Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful campground! We were celebrating my hubby’s birthday and had the perfect relaxing and peaceful weekend playing games, fishing, making s’mores and just relaxing! The nights were very peaceful and quiet and I loved being able to hear the loons at night and mornings. The new owners are very nice, hard working people, always doing their best to accommodate people staying here and keeping everything clean. The shower/bathrooms are very modern and clean. There is a fishing cleaning building where you can clean your fish with sinks And bags. Sorry to see some people can’t clean up after themselves and just leave a mess for others unfortunately. The little store in the office has all the little things you may forget at home plus some extras😊.
