Nice campground with decent space. Owner Janelle was very nice and friendly and helped us get checked in. We have family that stays here seasonal which most of the spots are. The “pond” was a little sketchy for us but we did swim in it one day. Looks like it is maybe filtered but it still had some weird stuff floating near the “beach”. Atmosphere was great. I gave it 4 stars because the camp security guard who drove around said we had bright lights shining that people complained about at 10:15 at night. This wasn’t the case as nobody reported it. He even got the owners husband out of bed to deal with us which wasted almost 40 min of our time. If the guard would have just moved along we would have had no issues with noise or light as we were getting ready to sit around the fire anyway. The light across from my site was brighter than the floods we had pointing to the ground to light up the bags boards before ending our games as no bags after 10pm. The strict rule of 10pm noise on a Fri, Sat night is ridiculous again no complaints towards us. I can see during the week but dang we paid almost $700 for 9 nights. Other than the noise ordnance, that’s my only complaints. We were just “weekenders” as the seasonal...
Read moreWe just stayed at Whispering Pines is past weekend. Back in full hookup site. Overall I would say it was a very nice campground. Very well maintained, you could tell that the owners of the park really put their time into it. Large, wide spots. That was so awesome having a big space to play in. The swimming pond was pretty cool too. The only complaint that I would say really bothered me was that the sewer hookup/dump at our site (as well as all of them) was well above the ground by almost a foot. Which made it difficult having our sewer drain from our Ice Castle. The only other thing I would say that was a little loud, was all the golf carts. I was unaware that this was mostly a seasonal campground, which makes sense that there would be so many golf carts. So that was my own negligence, not doing full research beforehand. But overall I would definitely stay here again. Cost is a little pricey for sites, but I thought it...
Read moreOverall, the campground was fine for our 2-night stay, but we're glad we weren't here for a longer stay. ||||The wifi was spotty.||||They only have one lane in and out; not one each way, I mean just one. If someone's coming in through the gate, and you want to exit, you'll need to wait.||||Looks as though many people here are permanent/seasonal residents. Most of those folks were in the shady, wooded area of the park.||||Our assigned spot was out in the open area with no shade. We were next to a row of trailers that were in storage. Not the best ambience, but then again those trailers did make quiet neighbors. :) Our spot was between those trailers and the mom-cars full of kiddos going to the pond...
