My family rented two cabins and one rv site for 3 nights. Owner was rude to my brother in law at check in because of where he parked while checking in. The next morning he was extremely rude to my sister in law while trying to rent a golf cart. Was also rude and condescending towards my wife when she informed him that the headlights on the cart we rented were very dim. ||Later that day we visited the pool (which is the only amenity for children that isn't dated and worn down) and parked our golf carts next to the sign that says "parking". He then came into the pool area and yelled at us in front of our children to move our carts because that is for vehicles and not golf carts. After moving them i said, "sign says parking, how are we to know what kind?" He then comes into the pool area again 10 minutes later and says he is taking our cart away because of my "wise guy comment" and that if I didn't like it I could leave. I asked him what the issue was and why he has been so rude and he said deal with it or leave, it's his property and he didn't need explatives) like me there. At this point all of the children are crying hysterically. My wife asked him if he was going to reimburse us and he said yes, get out.|| I even went back into the office to talk in the hopes cooler heads would prevail but he continued to be rude to me in front of other customers. When I informed me that I would be contacting KOA, he then followed me outside screaming profanities in front of the children again threatening to call the police. I then, admittedly, had a handful of choice words for him in return. ||At checkout, they accused us of damaging a cupboard door of our cabin in the attempt to keep our money. Luckily we took lots of pictures before we left. When my wife asked the owners wife if she thought it was okay that her husband talked like that in front of small children and to paying customers, her response was "let's keep the children out of it". We were reimbursed for 2 nights and 2 days of golf cart rental. ||Unfortunately, this is not the end of it. A short time later my brother in law approached him to let him know his displeasure with his language in front of children. He was also told to leave. Except he refused to reimburse them. At this point there was no reason for my mother and father in law to stay, they were not reimbursed either. Also, upon leaving the owner was yelling at my father in law to "get out of the car" in an attempt to provoke a physical confrontation with a 60 year old man. ||In closing, I would NOT recommend this...

Read moreWe had a fabulous stay at the Houghton / Letchworth KOA. Our hosts Tom, Karin, and their daughter were so very kind and helpful - you couldn’t ask for better. This was our second trip out with our new trailer and of course we didn’t have the extension cable for the 30 amp service, Tom loaned us one. We didn’t have the coax cable for the TV, Tom loaned us one. We booked a site that was across from the playground, well, we are past the young children stage in our lives and were traveling with my mother (who is 92) as well, Tom asked if we’d like a quieter site - the new location was perfect, and a pull through - even better! We rented a golf cart so I could take my mother around the grounds and it really came in handy - she loved seeing the whole camp facility, not just our site. We enjoyed the Bingo activity - brought back a lot of memories for my mother and seeing the families and their children enjoying the game as well was a lot of fun. The pool looked inviting but we didn’t swim this trip. There was plenty of grassy areas for dog walking, including a fenced in area for them to run in and an additional area with agility equipment set up. The only thing that could have made this trip better would have been more time to spend there. We are planning our trip for next season to be at least 4 or 5 days so we could take time to see some of the local sites and hopefully share a glass of wine with our hosts. You can tell they put their heart and souls into making this a very special camping experience...
