Requested a roll-away bed prior to arrival. Was told to go to my room, dial "0" when I leave, and they will put it in after. The charge would be on my bill at checkout (on my credit card). Therefore, there was no resting prior. Upon entering the room, after the horrible smell of a possible deodorizer trying to cover up barf, pet, and whatever else, we noticed the coffee pot was half full, and had a top layer of mold (white circles) covering it. We then went to put the things from our cooler into the fridge, and it was not cold. We turned up the temperature and looked to make sure it was plugged in. Upon arrival back to the hotel, the fridge was still not working. A new coffee maker was there now. At this point, we just wanted to go to bed and get out as soon as possible. We brought sleeping bags, and used these to sleep on since the entire experience, smell and lack of clean things disgusted us, bothered my allergies and those of my kids, and gave me a migraine. At check out, after 10 minutes, the man had no idea what he was doing, and he left and a woman came out. She told me I still had to pay for the roll-away bed. I explained that the man from yesterday put it on my visa, and he told me my new amount, and that all I had to do was sign upon checkout. After explaining this several times, she called someone on the phone, spoke another language, then said it was taken care of as I explained. She printed me a copy of the bill (at my request), and we left. The price to pay for this "Inn & Suites" is horrible since this is, at best, a cheap, dirty motel. I've traveled all through Europe and the UK, and might expect this with different standards. But we are in the USA. And charging much more than a motel. Choice Hotels...you should take this one off of your list. It only give you a...
Read moreWe drove there and we're going to check in but the place is really pretty low end at a very high price. We turned around after going into the office and left. So I can only speak to the outside of the hotel and the office area, but it definitely was not as good as a Hampton inn or similar quality.
Since the owner of the hotel has now complained that my review is “useless“ I suppose I should add some more details. The hotel is set up like a motel where parking is in front of each door more like a 1950s style, and not comparable to the other hotels that you would see. If you like this style, that’s fine, but it generally brings a lower rent because the buildings are often older. When we walked into the office we did wait a couple of minutes but did not get recognition from the person at the desk and there was no other staff to help. The office area may have included what you might call a breakfast area, but it certainly was not of the quality or size of a Holiday Inn Hampton Inn or comfort inn type hotel. Having stayed at many hotels, I believe my review of this as being a much lower quality hotel is accurate, given the higher price of nearly $300 a night that day. It would appear that this hotel goes for as little as $90 a night some days, which is definitely more in line of what I would think would be appropriate, but that rate is just on the information I’m seeing from its Google listing. In any event, I would hope the owner would be not so much “disappointed” but rather thoughtful about whether it’s pricing for the quality of its hotel was out of line. Obviously, you should be the judge and look at the pictures online and judge for yourself if it’s worth whatever they’re charging that night before you...
Read moreI have mixed feeling regarding stay at the hotel. When we arrived, the outside of the hotel looked old, unnatended, with falling pannels. My wife and I were close to leaving without even entering the place. However, we decided to go into the lobby and look around. The lobby, including the breakfast area was renewed and immaculate, the front desk clerk was helpfull, friendly and professional (all the front desk clerks during our stay were the same way). Once we were refered to our room, we were send to a second floor that from the outside you could see misplaced pannels and paint lacking finishings. However, once in the room, despite the furniture was relatively old, everything was well maintained and in great shape. The beds mattress was firm and comfortable, bedding was clean and well presented, room was ample. The bathroom had brand new toilet and shower space, fittings, and was immaculate clean. The cleaning service was phenomenal, each day we had a completely renewed room. Breakfast was superb with great quality coffee, fresh 100% juices, cereals, bagels and omelet. The breakfast area super clean and well maintained. Despite the outside appearance (that for us is very important), the rest of the experience was excelent. With little modifications and investment, you will have the opportunity to transform this facility from a C to an A facility. Your personnel at the hotel, with its kind, friendly and professional service is by far the jewel of...
