This place is a little slice of heaven in the mountains of New York. I had the pleasure of staying in this campground while on my travels north for the summer and wasn’t disappointed. The property is very clean and well kept despite its age. The bathrooms were clean and functioning unlike many other campgrounds. Mark the newish owner was very friendly and escorted us to our campsite to ensure we found it with no problems. We were in site 36 and enjoyed a beautiful sunset view of the mountains while having a fire in the suppled fire ring. While I was there I needed propane and mark sent someone by my trailer to pick up my bottles and delivered them back to me for what seem like less than I would have paid if you took them to a place to do it myself elsewhere. I would highly recommend this campground and to say hi to Mark.

Nice campground with nice views of the hills from the upper levels. Many of the sites are super-spacious, although some roads leading to certain parts of the site are pretty rough, so drive with caution. We had full hookups and the wifi at our site was excellent. Huge clubhouse to hang out in which is great for groups or tent campers looking to get out of the rain. Laundry facilities are available by the spacious shower block, plus there is a small but well stocked library. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is if you arrive when the office is unmanned, you need to call the owner, but cell service is poor. Also, there aren’t many eateries around, although Clark’s Pizza and Burger Den are pretty good. We want to come back in the warmer weather.

Gateway to the Green Mountains: This lovely campground with its large sites was a relaxing spot to spend a few days before starting my Vermont mountain adventures. Never one to sit around all day, I took the opportunity to explore the local area and there was lots to see and do.

The RV park itself is beautiful. We enjoyed the view from our spot overlooking the valley beyond. The sunset was gorgeous and right in front of us. However... If cell service or internet is important to you you might want to stay somewhere else. No phone or wifi inside our RV at all. Had to walk outside, stand on the picnic table and wave the phone around just to check email or send a text. They do have wifi amplifiers at the bottom of the hill near the office but they didn't really reach us. Had to go to the clubhouse for wifi, and even then, so slow. They advertise 3 megabits but I only ever got about .4 down and a trickle up. Took 2 hours to download a 150mb file. Took 12 minutes to attach a 2mb jpg to an email. That would have still only knocked off 1 star because at least it worked... But there are still 2 more things to mention. The road leading to the camp site and the dump station is laid out in a really dumb way. Big steep hill and weird sharp turns make it difficult and scary to maneuver a class A... especially with a tow. And since there is only one dump station at the very top of the hill it was a pain every time we needed to dump. We ended up backing out of our pull-through space and backing down the road to the dump station instead taking the big inconvenient hilly path they intend you to use. When we were leaving we wanted to fill up our propane tank. They have a big tank on site and advertise that they do refills. Turns out no one in the office knew how to do it and the guy who normally does it (even though he lives on site and was there) couldn't be bothered to help. Alright then. So overall, a nice place to stay if you want a pretty view, just don't...

Marianne and Mike the park managers went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed even bought a brand new gas grill and made sure I had it to cook out Friday night! They are the reason that I would love to go back again. I love where the cabin was located above a playground that I could watch my grandchildren play on. Rec hall also was a great addition to give the kids something to do while at the campground and a library so the kids could get books if they wanted and even another lady I can’t remember her name did a thing with my grandchildren finding a couple things called campground critters. I thought that was awesome! All the people that camp there were more than friendly, especially the families up behind us that had a bunch of teenagers that were great with my grandchildren also! You can bet I will go back but because of Marianne and Mike not the owner Mark who is...

This review is for the absentee owner. The person you left in charge was great, however you left without giving her access to the cable boxes. So I expected cable, paid for included cable but did not get it for my 3 day stay. You also have very unstable if not non existant internet. The problem, I believe, is you have only one repeater and it looks like its on with circuits that are used for washing machines and it needs to be recabled. There needs to be a univeral power supply dedicated for each repeater, on dedicated circuits, and you can't coil up the cable and have multiple splices. Additional repeaters also are needed. Again an included ammenity that I did not get to enjoy because issues are not addressed. I was unable to check my home security systems or do any transactions except in late evening when it did work a little better. We will not...
