Exploring the scenic trails of the Rushes on off road segways with Door County Adventure Center was a awesome experience. The Rushes has some awesome scenery and it was a fun and unique way to see Door County. #DoorCounty #SegwayTour #FamilyFun #Wisconsin #OutdoorActivities #travelwisconsin #doorcounty #wisco @Door County Adventure Center

The Rushes: Spacious Condos for Your Door County Getaway The Rushes in Baileys Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin offers a unique condo-style vacation experience. Here's a breakdown to help you decide if it's the right fit for you: Accommodations: Spacious Condos: The Rushes features townhouses with over 1400 square feet of living space, perfect for families or groups. This provides ample room to spread out and relax. Amenities: Many condos have private decks, gas grills, fireplaces, and full kitchens, allowing you to enjoy the comforts of home during your stay. Location: Kangaroo Lake: Situated directly on Kangaroo Lake, The Rushes offers beautiful scenery and lake access for swimming, kayaking, or canoeing. Central Location: Baileys Harbor is a central location in Door County, making it easy to explore all the region has to offer. On-Site Amenities: Activities: The Rushes boasts an indoor pool, tennis courts, walking trails, and even offers seasonal activities like craft classes. This can be a great perk, especially for families with children. Things to Consider: Privacy vs. Service: Unlike a traditional hotel, The Rushes offers condo-style living. This means more privacy and space, but also less on-site service compared to a hotel. Overall: The Rushes seems like a great choice for those seeking a spacious and comfortable condo-style vacation rental in Door County. With its amenities, lakefront location, and central position, it offers a chance to relax and explore the beauty of the region. However, if you prioritize hotel-style service or are on a tight budget, different accommodations might be better suited to your needs.

I LOVE THE RUSHES!!!!!!!!! I have been coming to the Rushes my entire life...seriously! My parents have owned weeks up here before I was born. I love the incredible staff!!!! They all have a special place in my heart. The Rushes is my home away from home! It is PERFECTION!!! I love the sandy beaches!!! Thats right... BEACHES!!! Not just one... but multiple!!! That way if you want to relax solo you easily can! And they have a HUGE field! Kids LOVE playing games on the field. (They have equipment you can borrow!) In addition, the woods offers incredible trails for cross country skiing in the winter, and biking/walking in the summer! (Again all equipment is included!) Monday nights they host a lovely wine and cheese party! This is an opportunity to snack and get to know the other guests staying there that week. On Wednesdays is BINGO! That is one of my favorite activities... EVERYONE WINS! Its a blast! They have events ALL the time! You will never be bored, unless you want to be! I personally enjoy relaxing in the hot tub after a long day exploring Door County or doing activities around The Rushes! Did you know the Rushes has Kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards, and MORE? Well now you do! Take a nice sunset kayak ride on a calm evening to release all of your worries and stresses! I will end it here, but know I could go on! This is truly my favorite vacation destination!!! It literally feels like home!!!!! I hope to meet you at the next wine and cheese!!!

The Rushes Resort of beautiful Door County peninsula exemplifies what all timeshares should be. No need to be abused by Wyndham and the others who promise the world and are only interested in profiteering. The unique Rushes Resort knows how to do timeshare with comprehensive support, cost-efficiency, and a home-style four-seasons approach. The following randomly listed and briefly stated points support these three criteria: 160 acres of beautiful, spacious, and unspoiled natural surroundings; Quiet, well-constructed, private and roomy townhouse/duplex units that feel like home; Finished and attached one car garages standard for all units, Comfortable and stylish furniture and bedding throughout, Generous storage, Large deck with private gas barbeque and lawn furniture, Easy check-in with no timeshare sales gimmicks and pressures, Family-like and family-friendly atmosphere throughout, Groomed, all-season nature trails with boardwalks; Located on 11,200 acre lake with 5 private docks, a sandy bottom, and multiple beaches, All recreational outdoor “toys” provided at NO COST: sailboats, kayaks, row boats, canoes, Nordic skis, sleds, bikes, shuffle boards, tennis rackets and courts, ice skates and rink, lawn chairs, playground, water toys and floats, soccer field, basketballs and court, and community fire-pit; Indoor “toys” also provided at NO COST: table tennis, crafts (some at additional charges), swimming, hot tubs, board games, reading library and community room, fitness center, foosball, (movie rentals extra); Friendly meet-and-greet session accompanied by complimentary food, drinks, and prizes; Massive, wood–burning, stone fireplaces in every unit with generous COMPLIMENTARY wood and kindling; Central location on the peninsula just minutes and miles from 5 state and 20 county parks, Lake Michigan (east side), Green Bay (west side), golf courses, 9 quaint villages, 6 lighthouses, wineries, museums, shoppes, fish boils, marinas, cross-country skiing, farm visits, orchards, art galleries, trails, swimming beaches, hiking, restaurants, fishing, music venues and playhouses, outdoor theater, biking, boat tours, island tours, bakeries, coffee shops, book stores – and no fast-food or chain stores.

We have been coming to The Rushes for 25 years. Located on the "Quiet Side" of Door County, The Rushes is situated in a forested area on the shore of Kangaroo Lake and has a sizeable nature preserve with walking and cross country ski trails. It is impeccably maintained, annually earning RCI Gold Crown status which is reserved for resorts which received the highest ratings from guest surveys. Brenda and Ray run fun and interesting activities for young and old throughout the week. Many are free, but some have modest fees to cover the cost of materials. Depending on the time of year, there are sailboats, kayaks, canoes, bicycles, tennis rackets, basketballs, horseshoes, and cross country ski gear available and are free for guests to use. There is an indoor rec center with pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, workout room, game room, and full locker facilities. The units are all comfortable, large duplex two-story townhomes with two or three bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen and laundry, living room, dining room, attached private garage, woodburning fireplace, and large deck with a Weber gas grill. Firewood and kindling are free and stocked in the garage. Most units have a private master suite located on the second floor. A few have the master on the first floor, although we have never stayed in one. Units are well maintained and attractive. The resort is in the midst of a five year plan to extensively redecorate the units. I have not yet stayed in a redecorated unit. The old decor had become a bit dated, in excellent condition and still quite pleasant, but best described as cozy Wisconsin. Everyone is friendly and relaxed at The Rushes. The Rushes is a fantastic place to vacation as a family, with something for everyone to do without ever leaving the resort. When you do leave, Baileys Harbor is ten minutes away with some truly excellent dining. Chives, Door County Brewing and Music Hall, Bearded Heart Coffee, Coyote Roadhouse, and several others are really fun and delicious. We love that Door County still has supper clubs, but many of the newer restaurants would be right at home in a hip Chicago neighborhood. The variety is wonderful. I highly...
