This was our 2nd time coming here. My wife and I stayed from Thurs to Sunday. We are a lot more seasoned with our popup trailer and we wanted a close get away. Check in was quick and painless. Made sure we had the same one as the one I picked with the online reservation. We got close 100s to be closer to the restroom. Probably should have asked for clarification on where our site started and ended as they do not have clear boundaries. If you go pole to pole it almost looks like 1 site can have 2 fire pits. Just ask at the office for help, will solve land disputes. We had to wait till the tent campers left before we could head out. It's pictured. Total trip was great. Not a lot of people and the weather was nice. They had a food truck one on Friday or Saturday. Only thing that's a bit much is their shower situation. I get they are on well water. All trailer sites do have water lines. So why do the showers have to have either push button or hold the handle for the showers. Also, they are preset to a certain temp. So make sure you shower when it's warm. I took 1 when it was 58 out and brrrr. But we like it enough to keep coming back. If we can get a seasonal by the bathrooms, we probably will.

Beaver Meadow Family Campground is a beautiful and spacious place to camp! The location is absolutely stunning, with plenty of scenic views and lots of room to spread out and enjoy nature. The amenities are excellent—everything you could need for a comfortable stay is right there. A special shoutout to Jeff and Kim, who made our stay even better with their warm hospitality and helpfulness. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. While some of the weekenders were a bit noisy, it didn't take away from how much we enjoyed our time here. We would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

They have seasonal and non seasonal sites. We came here during off season. HIGHLIGHTS: Many nature trails Visitors center Swimming pool Beautiful sunsets Fishing Well Sized campsites CONS: Roads are not paved making it difficult for kids riding bikes Pricey rates for off-season Charge extra to guarantee site number

We have been seasonal campers here for 9 years. That being said, we've seen many campers come and go. Overnight, weekends and fellow seasonal campers. So we've have seen the upgrades the owners have made over the years and they have given campers what they have asked for and continue to improve the whole camping experience from the grounds, sites, water, electric activities and staff. It is a small, very rural area so no, there is no cable, or fancy amenities. It is advertised as a family campground, not a resort. It does upset me seeing both sides of coin....the bathrooms are very clean...the water is well water, not city water...so at times, it does have an odor. The water handles do have to be held for the water to run....why? Because kids and people leave them running causing flooding in showers and sinks....yes, it has been done.. Roads and sites, grass or stone, not quite as level as some would like....as campers you should be prepared for such situations...keep a few boards or plastic squares in your camper for just such an emergency...again, with heavy rain, and NY winters....very hard to maintain every site to 100% all the time... Staff has been awesome! Yes, there have been at times, a learning curve for new employees... As for waiting to check in....please check the website for check in hours or when the store\office is open... The grounds are very well kept...with ONE maintenance staff and ONE lawn mowing man...many of their seasonal campers pitch in and help where needed...true meaning of family camping...as for being stared at and locals being rude...sorry you had that experience, they are few and far between ..if you come to a campground with an unusual camper, yes. People will stare and maybe even stop to talk with you about it. Rustic tent sites are found through out wooded areas for those who like to enjoy them...there are no sewer hook ups...but there are TWO dump stations for your convenience. Cannot say enough good things about this campground and it's owners....yes, there are rules and regulations in place for a reason... So if not followed. Please do not blame the staff for...

Worst place to camp. My husband was assaulted by a seasonal camper and yet we were the ones told to leave by the owners. Of course they're going to choose the side of ppl who pay to stay there year round. Little did they know the guy who started the argument with my husband came over to us right after the owners told us to be out by noon, to apologize saying he had too much to drink. My husband's response was it would just be nice if you could let the owners know as we were told to leave at noon. Not to mention I had paid 210 dollars at 70 a night, expensive if you ask me to stay for 3 nights as we had to due to it being a holiday weekend. We weren't even there 24 hrs! Do you think I'd at least get a refund, I doubt it. I wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone. We do alot of camping and have never had an experience like this, or paid this much for 3 nights. I'd give this zero stars but unfortunately you have to at least give 1 to leave a review. The comment posted by owner is untrue in the fact that my husband was acting erratic, and the comment about a gun if he really threatened to kill someone then why would the people he threatened to supposedly kill come and apologize to him! That makes absolutely no sense! It's funny in the fact that we aren't the only people to complain about you're campground and the atmosphere. Yes we were arguing in the fact that I told my husband to go to bed, after being pushed and threatened anybody wants to stand up for themselves and that's what he was doing. You're also correct in the fact that I wanted to leave after having an altercation with someone and could clearly see everyone was going to find us at fault. What's the point in trying to argue with someone who won't change their mind. Maybe you should go ask the guy who started the fight and ask if him and another guy came to apologize to us, you know the ones in the wrong....

We stayed here this past weekend. The young man checking us in couldn’t find our reservation at first, and didn’t talk to me except to say what money was due. I didn’t realize until later that we didn’t get any campsite information from the staff. I walked back up and the staff initially challenged me about getting the campground map and rules/regulations. I also asked whether or not the water was potable, because I didn’t see any information on it and we have a small child. The young man said “I think it’s safe to drink, but don’t drink from the wells.” The whole site is on well water! On my walk back I called the main office and asked to speak to another staff. Asking the same question, that staff told me she didn’t know whether it was safe to drink. Even with our filter, I’m not chancing that with my almost 2-year-old. Glad we brought two gallons of drinking water! Sites not level, but large. Very narrow roads made it hard to maneuver and back in. We ran into myriad electrical problems that really tested our EMS. I finally called the site to have someone look at our pole. The maintenance man laughed at us for trying to run AC and anything else. Found out more than half the poles have been updated. Wonder why they aren’t assigning people to those sites? Later that night I heard the maintenance man talking to the owner about us and our “complaining” about the electrical issues. I saw three other campers take regular trips to their electrical hookups as well. Bathrooms were cleaned twice a day. But showers, although warm and not coin-operated, were very difficult. You have to hold the lever to keep water running, like with drinking fountains. Made showering tricky. Overall terrible customer service, terrible electrical (30A) and a bad experience. We will never...
