It is rare for a stay at a B&B to be truly transformative. My significant other and I have now been twice for our anniversary, and the most recent time we took advantage of the newly offered and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Add-On Experiences: a breathwork session and garden tour. Well worth it. Meghan was so attentive to our needs, guiding us through an unorthodox but yet mystically healing experience that brought my partner and I closer together. It also gave us the opportunity to visit the new Yurt built on the property---a gorgeous spiritual space.with a skylight that gives the sense of having direct access to the cosmos. Meghan was also incredibly generous with her knowledge of plants, insects, and gardening practices, and as part of our garden tour gave my partner invaluable advice about the garden she hopes to start around our home. She even performed a brief impromptu ceremony on one of my partner's favorite gardening tools to arm her with both knowledge and strength to start the project. The cabin where we stayed (Trillium) was clean, spacious yet cozy, quiet, and well-stocked with delicious coffee and breakfast supplies. The large deck is perfect for spending hours reading, conversing, or just communing with the pine, birch, and aspen trees. At night, listening to the barred owls hoot in surround sound was hauntingly beautiful. Inside the cabin, cooking equipment (including a hot plate, microwave, and mini fridge) are all available in the cabin, so if you bring provisions you never have to leave during your stay. We barely did. Oh, and the oversized jetted tub was a nice touch, too. This is a deeply special place, and Meghan, Tyler, and team are doing incredible things to help guests tap into all the healing energy this little Adriondack paradise has to offer. Do your mind, body, and soul a favor: book a stay with an add-on experience.

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at the beautiful Bark Eater Inn during our visit to Lake Placid and the Adirondacks. The location is stunning! It's easily accessible but it feels like you’re in a completely different world. Mountains loom off in the distance and the property is surrounded by forests so you can actually enjoy the sounds of nature going on around you. Megan and Tyler are wonderful hosts. They're always around if you need them, fun to talk to, and can share some helpful tips with you about the area. You can't beat Megan's cooking either. Her Breakfasts are amazing! Don't forget about those cookies either! From the Bark Eater you can leave on your own small hike to explore the property. There are a few other trails that you can explore nearby or you can hop into your car and make it a number of peaks in the Adirondacks mountain range. The property itself is beautiful with a lovely Garden, amazing views, and a welcoming, cozy interior. We stayed in a large double room on the second floor. The room had a wonderful view of the property and with the windows open we enjoyed a nice breeze well into the night. Everything else was perfect. The wifi worked great, there was a roaring fire at night, and the hosts are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet! If you're looking for somewhere to stay close to Lake Placid then I would definitely recommend checking out the Bark Eater Inn.

The Bark Eater Inn is absolutely amazing – it is beautiful, serene and a really cool place to stay while visiting the Adirondacks. One of my best friends and I stayed at the Bark Eater for my 25th birthday in February and it was awesome, there are shops nearby, many places to go hiking, and the inn is a short drive away from Lake Placid. Since we went in the winter, there was snow on the ground – outside it was so quiet it felt like you could hear a pin drop. Breakfast each morning was so great. Meghan and Tyler were tremendously kind, welcoming and helped my friend and I to decide between places to go in the area. I hope to return again in the future. If the visit is in the winter again, I definitely would consider winter tires for the drive there, though it is possible to make it there without them – though some highways were slippery during our drive from NYC to the Adirondacks, once we got to Keene and the inn most roads were cleared of snow. I highly recommend staying at the Bark Eater Inn if you plan to visit the Adirondacks!

The Bar Eater Inn is one of my favorite places on earth and I keep coming back for more. It is cozy and warm like a friends home, and as clean, beautiful, and comfortable as a fancy resort. The linens are so luxurious, you just soak into the bed and get incredible rest there. The gardens continue to blow me away year after year with the incredible variety and color and thought out design. ||Meghan and Tyler and the whole team are incredible hosts. This time I was here facilitating a small group retreat, the August Herb Camp. With all of the physical details taken care of and knowing Meghan and Tyler were holding space for me allowed me to focus entirely on my own classes and facilitating the event, freeing up so much mental energy for me. It allowed me to be able to drop in with my group and relax much more than when I have hosted similar events at my own farm. Everyone had a great time and can't wait for next year. I think the Bark Eater Inn was made for small group adventures and retreats, offering both luxury accommodations and camping options, the trials and pond to explore, the magical gardens, the commercial kitchen our chef was able to use, the dining and living room shared spaces for gathering and classes, and the yurt which was amazing for Meghans yoga and breathwork sessions we hired her to teach as part of our program. It really...
