My fiance and I were so excited to be having our wedding here next summer, however, despite phone and email confirmation that the weekend was reserved for us, it was double booked and we have had to search and search for a new place. I'd recommend looking elsewhere before you go through the disappointment we have felt. After showing him his confirmation, all the owner could offer was his half hearted condolences, with no suggestion of monetary compensation for all the setbacks we are now facing and vendors that are now unable to come to our new location. We rented the Mountain House in August for our wedding, and it was incredible! Not only is the scenery stunning, but we loved the rustic charm of the houses and everything was clean and well-maintained. They had everything we needed for our wedding, from a separate outbuilding with restrooms, to an ice machine, to corn hole and fire pits. Only four stars because the shower in our master bathroom only dribbled water out and when I mentioned to the repair guy (Joe) that we probably needed a new shower head, he checked it out, but didn't replace it.
