The river, the rocks, the trees, the CCC history, the secret townie-only swimming hole. It's all so amazing. If I could fall in love again, this would be the setting.

Each campsite has an impressive fire pit. It's an impressive steel unit set on a concrete slab & incorporates a FOLD-DOWN CAST IRON GRILL!

The waterfall area was beautiful, water was warm. Park was empty and only one other campsite was occupied on a Saturday night. The mosquitoes though, relentless. It's been a long time since I have seen mosquitoes this bad. Not even tolerable. With pants on and bug spray still ended up with over 50 bites. ...

We love the views here year round!

We have not used the campground, but it looks quite nice. There's a large field and picnic area that would be great for family gathering and maybe yard games too.

I would recommend staying. The sound of the river alone would bring me joy and again, the scenery...
