Just stayed 5 Days here over the 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful time. The campground is dated and has a classic vintage feel. The sites are private for a campground this size. I was worried after reading some of the negative reviews. We have stayed at some fancy campgrounds and I was worried my kids (6yo and 9yo) would care that this was not as fancy. They could care less, they loved the playground and the pool.

The site was not very level, but I was able to use blocks to level the rig. I did not see the electrical issues written about. My site had a new 50amp drop, but that was not most sites. Sewer and water hook ups were all good.

Location was good, there is a mini golf and ice cream place down the street as well as 2 gas stations a minimart and pizza place. Other then that its about 15 min to town or shopping. Its perfect as a base camp to enjoy everything around Lake George.

They could use some capital improvements like the patio and playset area. But aside from that, keeping it clean and functioning is enough to make this a classic style campground with a vintage feeling of my youth.

We stayed in site 5 and had great Verizon service. I was getting 46mbs down and 2mbps up on my phones hotspot. I have Starlink and sites 1 and 2 as well as a few by the pool would have given me a nice shot for the dish. Unfortunately my site was too wooded for that. I did run the Starlink from the pool area and got a shot. The service was throttled as an RV customer though at that time. Speeds were 14mbps down and 12 Mbps up.

Overall we had a great time making memories, my kids made friends, we made friends and found a great affordable camping option in...

The campground is wonderfully peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The pool is ideal for unwinding, and there’s a splash area that’s great fun for the little ones. The on-site fishing spot has bass, and the restrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained.

Our tent site was generously sized—we fit a 12-person bell tent and a kitchen tent with plenty of room left over for another tent if needed. The water and electricity hookups were conveniently located for our kitchen setup. The shade from the surrounding trees was fantastic, and even when it poured rain for a bit, our site stayed mostly dry.

Wi-Fi is adequate for quick emails or looking something up. Nearby activities are plentiful, including white-water rafting, tubing, zip lines, swimming in rivers and lakes, and it’s not too far from Lake George.

All in all, this is a great and affordable place for a relaxing vacation, whether you’re here for adventure or just some quiet...

Due to unforeseen issue and the weekend after my reservation being sold out further south (on our way back to home in Georgia from Canada), I had no choice but delaying my departure from Quebec area, reserved the site online through the KOA App Sunday evening for Tuesday/Wednesday overnight stop. Called Monday morning to cancel (no answer, office closed, let a voicemail), called around 2:20pm, then asked to cancel due to the above issue, cancellation done but no refund!!! I’ve been KOA member since April 2024 and spent hundreds of dollars throughout their campgrounds around the US, never had an issue at all! For us campers, things happens, and that is why we are RV’ing, to have more freedom than hotel vacation style. This is the type of customer service that will not have me even try another time to this specific KOA, worst customer service ever, even though the lady on the phone was very polite but standing...

Great little campground run by a husband and wife. Grounds are very clean and maintained. It's right on route 9 so you get a lot of road noise if you have a site right by the pool. Plus most campers travel through your site to get to their cabins even though you're sitting right there. One nice trail to the lake if you like mountain biking. Nothing extreme but good dips and bumps. Fun experience for the whole family. Just remember it's a Journey campground, not a lot of amenities or activities like a Holiday or Diamond Resort, but it's super quiet at night, especially when the road traffic dies down. Just right for a short inexpensive stay to explore the area.

This is not a place to be if you have a large rig to many trees to navigate on tight corners, I paid for pull thru site, this site is a corner site barely a pull thru suppose to be gravel site it says but no gravel all dirt, can’t sit outside blinded by every cars headlights that drive in, I’ve lost all expectations of KOA campgrounds last 5 I’ve stayed at were awful and this one topped it off, they are no bargain basically a bait and switch description on website of the site is nothing like what the sites actually are.
