Well we got there later at night and all the staff was just standing around at the store counter.. it costed us around one eighty for three nights next to the creek. The campsite it's self was really small and they lied to us at fist saying all the sites were booked.. then we brought two tents one for us adults and one for the teenage boys because every teenager is to cool to be with with there parents..so we arrived already disappointed at the size of the site and told us that we can't have two tents. So we asked if there was a deal that we could have they said no.. so one top of that we had to buy another tent site costing another 120 just for a tent site for the boys at first the said they could have the one across brim us then changed it two min on the phone to one that is diagonal from us further down. All u can here is the neighbors in the morning waking up because there so close to us. So waking up the next morning with better spirits we went creek walking it was nice and relaxing better then expected. Went to the pool after and surprisingly it's dirty all the way around the top ring and not very big. No chairs to sit maybe ten maybe fifteen at most so you have to sit on the uneven broken concrete that surrounds the pool. :/ on top of all that mini golf, mining for gold, water wars is not included at all in the stay. You have to pay extra for everything.. the basketball courts and pillow bounce thing is free but the pillow bounce is so hot the kids didn't want to stay on it long and got bored. There's a blast on kinda cheesy and the inflatable course I didn't see today up and running and there's an age limit. The IMPORTANT message is don't go to this one unless u want them to rape your wallet and waste money. the best one is JELLYSTONE IN NORTH JAVA NY.. it fun and has a water park and everything is included in the stay.. clean and the people are nice and will let u have more then one tent. I'm so happy with the place and...
Read moreExtremely unfortunate this campground will not earn my buisness with them after today. Extremely unprofessional owners who think they hold all of the keys in the kingdom of a "Yogi Bear" themed campsite and can take advantage of people. Based on other negative reviews I have read here, owners seem to not accept any responsibility for anything when an issue arises for campers here. Today was my first time coming here due to my conflicting work schedule, but my family has been camping with my father-in-law here on multiple occasions. Not once has my family had to pay the ridiculous guest fees that this campground offers (not per vehicle, but a per person basis. I assume they think every vehicle that comes through is a clown car stacked with people). But today when I wanted to scope out the campground for a half hour and my children enjoy a little quality time with my father-in-law, they wanted to charge the full stipend for 4 guests as if we were staying overnight? It is mid October, and there is absolutely nothing going on (pool closed, no Yogi, no activities) whereas it would have been the perfect time to look for spots for next year. Instead, I was physically approached by the owner who got in my face who threatened that he would call the police if I didn't leave his property when I pushed back that I was basically being taken advantage of as they tried to get one last squeeze out of someone as the season comes to a close. Owners go by a mentality that the customer is not right and that it is your fault when something goes wrong.
With multiple campgrounds such as KOA, Thousand Islands, Bass Lake Resort, Fair Haven, etc. do not commit to this Yogi Bear themed campground that is ridiculously overpriced, practically in the middle of nowhere & owners who can care less about your experience after they get their buck.
But hey, it's your money. Just putting my honest...
Read moreBy far the worst KOA I have ever stayed at. We have been camping for multiple years, and many KOA and this one should not even be able to have the KOA association mentioned in this park. Substandard!!!! The place is run down, and nothing has been fixed since we were last there in 2023. Lots are small and cramped. Such a shame because it really could have a great potential with the river right there. I called and made a reservation in Feb 2024 for Aug 2025. Talked with employee and I was very specific on the site that we wanted and had been there before. We changed multiple dates to accommodate. I later was told she was the owner's daughter but has since moved to Tennessee. Well luckily, I called 3 weeks to confirm my reservation and low and behold they don't have my reservations for that weekend. I spoke to Heather, and she did find me a site which I thought she told me it was on the river just 3 spots down from the one I originally wanted. When we arrived at the park we found out that the spot she put us in was in the middle of the park surrounded and on top of other campers. We literally sit at our fire pit and picnic table and stare at the neighbors behind us around 3 feet away from us. They did compensate us with a bundle of wood. LOL!!! I went to office to speak to manager and explain that a bundle of wood would not suffice, and I wanted a night taken off for their multiple mistakes not mine. He would not but offered 10% off and then settled for 20%. When he looked me up on the computer system it shows this was the first time we were visiting. I showed him 2 email confirmations from 2022 and 2023 that clearly showed we had stayed before in the same site I always reserve. Obviously, a new computer system that messed up reservations, but he denied that too. Would not recommend this park to anyone. Beware-Poor...
