I stayed at Blackhawk RV Camping Resort as part of a Thousand Trails about a week ago. I could not be more impressed! From the day of my arrival, I was made to feel welcome from super friendly staff and seasonals (shout-out to Brad, Brian, Ben and Steve, also to a woman with short blonde hair and a pink golf cart, who was also very helpful- sorry I didn't get your name). Anyway, the campground is HUGE and very well-kept. There is plenty of space between campers- from anyone in tents to living in one of their cabins. I was in my own Class-A. I had full hook-ups (20-50amp available at the pole) with no issues with electric and good water pressure. They had beautiful landscaping with lots of grass and trees throughout. If I had the grandkids, they would have enjoyed themselves with the myriad of children's activities they offered as well as a basketball court, volleyball, horseshoes, swimming pool etc. They also had 3 adjacent lakes, but I could only figure-out how to get to 2 of them. Onsite, I also found a store with basic amenities (+ ice & fire wood) as well as a 24-hour laundry room. You can also rent a golf cart, which I recommend for at least a couple of days. I highly recommend this campground!

They are working on making the place better, and that earns high marks from me. It flooded, so they dug a drain. It started to smell like sewer after the flooding, they changes the main sewer pump filters. They had thirsty Thursday at the pool and gave out beer and snacks. Oh, and an acoustic guitarist playing. A food truck was next to the camp store on weekends - I only had breakfast and I was not impressed, but it was their first day ever and were swamped with orders. Saturdays they had live bands. The seasonal were all friendly. The biggest downside, for me, was the traffic. There is a bottle neck of golf carts, cars, walkers, and children on bikes around both the pool and the entrance. The pool is on the way to the entrance, so leaving the park was always an ordeal. Staff was very friendly. I stayed 13 days, the photos were day one. It was mostly dry after day 3 (it rained and flooded again on day 3).

We stayed on a loft cabin. With 4 kids, the cabin was great, as the kids all fit in the loft. The pool was pretty dead during the week which is exactly what we were hoping for. Not a ton of mask wearing people here except in the office, which was a little disappointing. Everyone was super nice. Garbage service never came.. that was confusing.. Flies were everywhere, outside and in. They woke us, swarming around our heads every morning. I am certain that we killed at least 100 flies in the cabin during our stay. (4 nights) There was some flooding in an area near the cabin which might have been part of that. We nicknamed our cabin "chatteau fly" and made the best of it. Had a good time here. Not certain I would return with the fly issue. Though I know camping is an outdoor activity, flies buzzing around me constantly got kinda obnoxious.

CAMPGROUND SHOULD BE CALLED GAMBINO CAMPING RESORT! He is a seasonal fella that pretty much runs the park! SITE # 317. I have been seasonal at Blackhawk for 4 years now.Nothing but problems here. All everyone does is gossip about everyone and there are seasonal campers that seem to think they run the place..New owners this season and the campground has gotten even worse than it has ever been and now they are talking about a $500 association fee!The average seasonal fee is around $3200 and up and we get nothing for what we pay for now.the band that we have on the weekend is usually made up of seasonal camper that have gotten together and seem to think they are a band!NOT!Security is a joke and they constantly harass people for the stupidest things. The beach is a joke and is full of weeds that rub against you as you swim!1 working washer and dryer for entire campground use is a little rediculous as well. They have said since beginning of season that new ones on the way!lol! 2 young ladies trying to run the place and they have no idea as to what they are doing!I could go on and on about all of this, but I guess you will need to see for yourself. The only reason I have stayed is because my girlfriend wouldn't let me sell until now!I suggest finding another campground that can offer more than what Blackhawk can, because you will not not be happy...It's a campground where all the husbands and wives cheat whether it's...

We LOVE Blackhawk Campground in Milton, Wi.. This is our 2nd year RVing (in a 30' travel trailer) and our 2nd year coming here. Everyone here is so friendly. It feels like a big family. They have tons of activities for everyone of all ages. Our children are grown and don't travel with us but they have all kinds of activities they come up with here, for your younger kids. There's a pool and a beach and I hear that the overnight sights, like we stayed on, will be getting full hook ups, gravel camper pads and new fire pits by next year. We have had spacious "yards", unlike some campgrounds we've been to where we were right on top of other campers. Got breakfast at the food truck one morning and it was delicious! The staff are super friendly and helpful. Escorted us to our site and showed us how to pull in so everything lined up perfectly and then went and got firewood for us and delivered it. You really need to have/rent a golf cart to enjoy the whole campgrounds. It's quite large. Saturday nights there are a blast with the golf card parade! I can't end this without mentioning how completely awesome Ann, the manager, is. She goes WAYYYY above and beyond to help with anything. I have never encountered a manager more helpful and pleasant as she is. It's a very hard job but she makes it look easy and always has a smile for you! If she is capable of doing it for you, she will! Stay at Blackhawk, you won't be...
