B&B|One night stay on July 20. |Nice grounds with some nice places to walk. A real Victorian house. |Upon arrival had a small tour, info on amenities and for breakfast. Also recommendation for places for dinner. |Nice classic style rooms with crown molding. Lovely linens. No ceiling fan. |Ask for a room in the back of the house. We had a room in the front, yards from the busy car and truck traffic on Rte 29. It was loud. And I understand the reason (not to spoil the front of the house) but the window air conditioner was in the bathroom so it got a bit warm. A room in the back would be the choice. |Breakfast was excellent with fruit, breads, and coffees. And unusual for BnB's we've stayed at - made to order breakfast with nice choices. They really paid attention to a person's dietary needs. |The other guests were very friendly and interesting - a great conversation over breakfast. |Which brings me to another thing of note - there was a dinner and performance the night we stayed, with real Broadway names. It was booked and we went into town for dinner and drinks (Saratoga Springs - great place to visit btw). Anyway when we got back the parking area was completely full and the little park across the street was as well. So find out in advance when there is a show in the barn out back and plan accordingly. |Overall a very...
Read moreI would love to give The Mansion five stars because this venue and the people truly are wonderful, but I cannot due to the glaring lack of handicapped accessibility. I was a guest recently at The Mansion for a wedding and one of the most important guests had taken a fall and was in a wheelchair. The Mansion and its grounds are stunning yet rugged, and among the three locations used for the evening (The Mansion, the Tent, and the Barn), getting this person to all three IN THE RAIN with zero head covering from the elements was stressful to say the least. The staff at The Mansion are incredible, so this is not a remark about them in any way. Everything else about this venue was top-notch. The food was out of this world! I just hope that the higher-ups who own and run this establishment will install proper ramps/elevators, etc. I find it hard to believe that any event, most especially a wedding, will not have at least a few guests with...
Read moreWe chose the "mid-week" package at the Mansion. From our first visit we KNEW this was the place for us. We wanted something that was not the typical "banquet room" feel. This is the place! Lori is amazing and informative. Annie is attentive and helpful and Rachel pulled everything together flawlessly. Chef Rick is the best. One big seller for us is that we had use of the entire property, the Mansion, the grounds, the deck, the barn. There is only one event at a time at the venue. It is absolutely beautiful...all of it. The food is amazing and so many of our guests were beyond impressed with everything. The staff is beyond accommodating with everything...from the moment you arrive on your big day they are there to make sure everything runs smoothly and get you anything you need to packing everything up for you after your event. We could not possibly be more impressed with The...
