Living locally we didn't stay at the Edgemont but our friend was staying there and invited us over for breakfast. The Innkeeper, Karen was so welcoming and had breakfast ready when we walked in the door (french toast, homemade maple syrup from a neighbors farm, potatoes and bacon, fruit, juice and yummy coffee). After breakfast we took a tour of the property and we just loved learning the history of the home as well as seeing each bedroom (so quaint & charming). Each bedroom has its own bathroom and one thing that stood out was how clean every guestroom/bathroom was! Karen takes excellent care of the property as if it was her own home. We toured the grounds and loved seeing the hen house (and "Bub" the rooster!). We will certainly suggest The Edgemont B&B to friends and family when they visit the Adirondacks! I personally would love to stay there - especially in the Fall! Thanks again Karen for your...
Read moreStayed three nights at the Edgemont. We had the north room. Great location. Just over an hour to Lake George, 35 - 40 minutes to Ticonderoga, and just over an hour to Lake Placid. Beautiful early 19 hundreds home. Pool table, ping pong, board games and beautiful decor. The breakfast is just amazing. We met Kim and Linda who were there to assist Karen. They were very nice and so easy to talk with. The house centers around the manager Karen. It is something when you are staying somewhere and the person running it makes you feel that you are home. Karen went out of her way to make sure everything was to her high standards. She was an amazing hostess and cared about every detail. Enjoyed our chats sitting in the kitchen. Would not hesitate to return or recommend to anyone travelling in the area. Thank you so much Karen and please thank Kim and Linda.||||Murray...
Read moreThis B&B is one of the best place we’ve ever stayed in. Starting from the Inn keeper Karen to the cleanliness of the B&B & awesome breakfasts this was a great place to stay. Karen was warm & friendly with a great heart. She was attentive to all our needs. The Inn has great historic features preserved by the current owners. The farm kitchen was a great area to eat breakfast and chat with the other guests. The rooms are large and clean. The bathrooms are up to date. The farmers porch is a great place to relax and read a book. Having the farm animals around makes for an interesting fun stay. We found it to be a great value and a great place to use as a base point to visit other areas of the Adirondacks. If we are in this area again we...
