Our two-night stay in the Keuka Suite at Mountain View Meadow was everything and more than we could have anticipated. Arriving at the property, we were amazed at the surrounding mountain views and the lovely walkway up to the Carriage House. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, Mark and Julie, who knew exactly what we needed to know to settle in and what the area had to offer.
Our Suite was beautiful, with attention to detail that we loved: our King size bed had the softest sheets with great pillows and a comfy throw. The entire room designed to calm and relax with a spa-like color palette. The bathroom had everything we needed including bathrobes and fluffy towels. While we didn't take advantage of the private hot tub outside of our room, we agreed that should we visit again, we would find the time. My husband did, however, enjoy the sauna in the Wellness Area.
After a good night's sleep, we had breakfast in The Cafe on the main floor and cannot say enough about the delicious and abundant choices. Our hosts do a spectacular job of creating a breakfast that can please just about everyone. From a wonderful selection of "small bites" including the yummiest yogurt topped with pureed fruit and a unique and healthy chia pudding to traditional hot breakfast foods: perfect scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes and more. The Cafe has wonderful views of the mountains and many seating area choices to add to our enjoyment of breakfast.
Walking the grounds offered us a chance to be surrounded by the beauty of the mountainsides. We appreciated the trails on the property that provided a lovely walk as we planned our day. Mark and Julie offered suggestions for where to dine and the brochures in the entrance of The Carriage House gave us lots of ideas for a day's worth of adventures.
While we have traveled many places, our stay at The Carriage House of Mountain View Meadow will always have a special place in our memory. Mark and Julie have created a sanctuary designed to comfort and care for each guest. It is without a doubt a labor of love that they share with all who visit. As we drove away, we promised ourselves to return and to let our family and friends know...
Read moreWe booked an Airbnb for the weekend with friends but my boyfriend and I decided we wanted to go to Naples a day earlier than the rest of our group. We wanted some alone time so I decided to look for a nice place we could stay. Well, to my surprise, I came across this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. I had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before but the pictures intrigued me. The rooms looked so nice and for a reasonable price. I was a little apprehensive about a bed and breakfast on many acres of land. I didn’t know what to expect and if we were going to be safe haha. Let me just tell you, right when we pulled in, I thought wow this is so beautiful and peaceful. We walked into the bed and breakfast and it was decorated so nicely. We found our room, which was absolutely beautiful ! It felt so warm , so charming and so comfortable. We could not have been more excited ! They had a small refrigerator in the room as well, which was perfect to chill my wine. The bed itself was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The pillows and bedding is beyond a 5 star hotel. The balcony with the hot tub and the Edison lights at night was so romantic and charming. We had the most perfect night and perfect morning because we went in the hot tub in the morning which was so relaxing and nice. We then headed down for breakfast. The owners, Mark and Julie, are the two nicest people you will ever meet. Mark gave us a tour of the property and it is unreal! He then made us such a delightful breakfast with waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage. He served us and had everything so nice. It was such a treat. Julie gave me a follow up phone call to make sure we had a nice stay. She is absolutely wonderful and kind. We moved to the Airbnb down the road with friends and all I can say is that I miss Mark and Julie’s bed and breakfast. I wish I could go back because their attention to detail and their kindness goes a long way. I highly recommend this place and I can’t wait to come back...
Read moreMy partner and I were looking for a relaxing weekend vacation. Mountain View Meadow was the perfect place for our little getaway from city life. The carriage house bed and breakfast is designed for couples to be the retreat if your dreams.
When we picked it, we didn't imagine how comfortable our retreat would be because of it. It wasn't just the amenities like the infrared spa, in-house massage parlor, little bites, or hot tub; but also the conversations and recommendations for activities and food they gave.
It truly feels like staying with warm and loving family here. This is better than any hotel you could find. The rooms feature high-quality bedding and seating, it even has a fireplace for that cozy indoor vibe that works year-round.
It's well maintained to the point that if there is an issue, they already know about it and are actively fixing it. They told us the A/C was being fixed and we couldn't even tell it was off because they handled it so quick the room temp didn't even have time to change.
They'll have recommendations for everything, just ask and you'll get details. If you prefer not to interact with anyone they've got activity guides and restaurant recommendations printed out in your room. It could not be more accommodating.
We will be going back.
Pro tip: Book through their website to save in platform fees.
Bonus fact: They have a giant family home for rent for family retreats with space for up to 12 people nearby. If you've got a big group, look into that instead. They call that bed and...
