Since the management refused to talk to us on the phone, I now have to take it publicly. Sadly were going to have this conversation here wether he likes it or not.
We were following up for a month trying to find a spot to transition us from renting to buying. I called first and talked to Sherry and she said we would have to talk to this guy, he oversees winter rentals, he would call back. I waited most of the afternoon. So I called back, left a message, waited an hour and called again, he answered. I explained I had left a message and did not have good signal and was calling back. I had told him we were looking for a place for the winter. He asked for proof of an address and wanted a "deed" from our landlord. I asked do you mean a rental agreement? I said he's buying the property. He said you have to have something from the state saying the property is his. I was so surprised, so I asked do you need something from the state saying he is buying the home? He said yes. When I told my husband, he said we need a place a few months for the camps winter season untill things are set up on the land were buying. When my husband called back and tried to identity himself and explain we don't need all year round, just a few months, we were buying a property, the man would not let him get a word in. He was yelling " you can't live here year round !" He refused to talk any further. This was by far the worst experience amoung others dealing with a business we've encountered in the time we've been here so far, mind you we've only been here a month and a half. We were strung along for a month by these people with false promises of an opportunity in the camps winter season, I would never recommend this place for one dang night...
Read moreTraveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 7 nights in a site for big rigs. We have nothing good to report here. First, we almost took out a low-lying power line that was over our site. The next site we were given had limbs that I had to cut myself before we could back in. We had a 50 amp site with a breaker problem. Each time we tried to use the microwave the breaker tripped and we even had to switch the hot water tank to propane mode. Just so you know there is nothing wrong with our coach…the microwave works even if we are just plugged into our 20 amp garage outlet. We reported the problem, but they never fixed it. Most sites are not level and there’s no gravel on the pads. We stayed during the rainy season, the site was a mud pit and we stressed over our back four tires sinking and wondered if we would get stuck leaving. No satellite reception (too many large trees). Almost the entire park consists of permanent or seasonal residents who never move their units. It’s an older park located in a quiet and beautiful wooded area, but unfortunately it’s been neglected and desperately needs upgrading. We couldn’t locate any other RV parks in the Albany area, but if you have a choice, we don’t recommend...
Read moreThe park is mainly for seasonal clientele, but they are more than happy to fit in travelers if sites are available. Much work has been done to address the negative issues mentioned in the very old reviews. These issues are not a problem now. Owners really seem to care about their guests. Some people are never satisfied. The Park has easy access to the western side of the Berkshires, Albany, and Troy, NY. They are "Big Rig" friendly, pull-through, full-hookup sites. Enjoyed our stay here for 5 days. These sites have easy access to four private individual shower/bathroom areas, with one being an extremely well-thought-out handicapped-accessible area with a roll-in shower. There are lots of things to see and do in the Albany-Troy area. This is a great area for antique shopping and hiking. A nice and quiet campground, water pressure is average for the New England area, it's there... but you're not going to blow out any fittings. They have a nice covered common area with a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, sink, Webber, and a couple of Blackstone grills. The pool was crystal clear and inviting. It is also KID-FRIENDLY. A 35-Amp site is currently $45, and a 50-Amp site is...
