First off, staying here was fun.. We stayed over Labor Day, when it was very busy, and we made fun memories. The kids highlights were biking all around, the wagon rides, the golf cart parade, and fishing. First with the good: - the WiFi is great, 5 bars.. as it’s a total dead zone for cell towers. This was great all throughout the park. -The lake is beautiful (note it’s very weedy), you can rent boats for very reasonable price or you can bring your own. - large swimming pool on grounds (which looked nice) -trash pick up at your site 2x a day was great! -The campground tries to have fun activities. They have a huge blowup water slide and also a smaller one for littler kids (check to make sure it’s on and what the schedule is for this upon booking because I believe it changes) -Our cabin was clean and had NICE amenities considering it was just a rustic cabin. This surprised me pleasantly (Cable TV, A/C, Heat, Microwave, covered porch and mattress was nice.) This was awesome!! - Staff was friendly, attentive and I’d say like others reviews they make the place as nice as they can, eager to help. The store they have is nice too. Our Bad: (these are things I think the AB owner should address (have they visited lately or ever?) - the bath house nearest us was UP a steep hill… not accessible to everyone. no lights near it at night making it hard to see. There was no door knob on the women’s room - you had to grip the padlock to even open the door as the knob was totally gone.. It was grungy. I get it, that it’s camping but each bathroom we visited here was the same way. Run down. (Clean as it could be - but run down) (I saw many different staff cleaning while here, and I will commend them on that. The trash was picked up timely, the stalls had toilet paper, and things were cleaned regularly.) -A common theme here is that we felt like the whole place needed a face lift. Freshen up the playground, fill in the potholes, update the bath-houses, the pedal carts are old and the kid that unlocked it for us even said these like 20 years old. -The loud noises during the quiet hours was HARD. The drunkenness, hollaring, cussing, romping on golf carts all throughout the night was very difficult for our family with kids. We witnessed a golf cart crash into a ditch with drunk adults. The campground tried to control the noise I believe with a whistle - but the troublemakers were still there in the morning.. This alone forced us to leave a night early because we needed better sleep than the night before) - *biggest thing that surprised us was the lack of privacy. We felt like the sites were TOO close together that there was little to no privacy. If you are thinking you’ll be tucked in and have some relaxing time, sorry at least in the areas we were in- you won’t find that. Golf carts running by constantly, everyone could see what you were doing and vise versa. We were not tucked amongst trees like we pictured. One of my pics show this and how tight the rentals are. If someone was saying they were going to stay here. I wouldn’t tell them .. no don’t do it.. I would say GO and have fun, just go in with your eyes open so you know what to expect.

Moldy deck, glasses that were disgusting, a firepit with left over food, beer cans in it marshmallows all around it, a grill that u had to go outside around your deck to end if cabin to cook on, a lamp that didn't work, mattresses in the bunk room that were horrendous and looked like they were from a jail cell, the wagon ride that they say they have is to go to one end of the park and bk. No trails. The tractor was so old that guests had to wait for it to be jumped by a truck on Monday morning 8/19/19. We also rented a gold cart for the time we were their and the first golf cart they gave us wasn't even supposed to be rented out as it was dead the day before and no one bothered to inform anyone of it so they give it to us. When it died in front of my husband truck I walked back up to the office and informed the 2 young highschool girls behind the counter. They said that it wasn't supposed to be rented out and gave us another one. I asked if someone was going to get the dead one and they informed me it would be taken care of by 7pm. Of course no one showed up. Next morning it was still there. We had to push it out of the way. After coming back from Baseball Hall of Fame it was still there. Also when you list that there is cable available it doesn't mean 2 channels come in and the rest are snowy pictures and also do not advertise that u have wifi when u do not! You are lucky if you get connected to it and if you do you you have to be dwn by their pavilion and sit there. Also the call it Crystal Lake?? It is not a lake more like a big pond!! You cant even swim in it. According to the girl thatvwas there when we left 2 days early, she said the water was tested a few weeks ago and just this past week with bad stuff found in the water. They also can't even afford to upgrade the chairs they leave for there guests. Yes we brought our own, but the chairs were also full of mold, and rusting. For $300 a night they are a rip off! That price also does not include the golf cart rental and if u want to kayak or rent one of their row boats, they charge you for that as well. I mean don't u think that should be free for your guests?!! When I went online and booked their site is not very clear. We wanted a deluxe cabin with loft that is shown on their website and now we didn't get it. I also put money dwn to make sure we got that specific one and didn't. Oh and their arcade room is awful. Have games don't work or they are from the 80s. I highly recommend not going to this resort!!! My husband has more pictures on his phone. We checked in on 8/18/19 with a reservation until Wednesday 8/21/19 and we left not even 24hrs after we checked in. We will demand some of our money back!!!

Spent the weekend with my family at adventure bound, upon arrival Rachel was a HUGE help, with our account some how being charged twice for the weekend in a rental RV. Refunded and checked on multiple times Rachel was amazing…upon arriving at our RV ($211 a night) it was filthy, being beginning of season I discussed my concerns with Rachel and she took it upon herself to make it right with manager Danielle, she assured us it would be taken care of (I already cleaned it) and offered us a free golf cart for the inconvenience. In which my children LOVED!!! Danielle was super nice. Also upon arrival to the site our awning wouldn’t open with sign saying call front desk for help. So we did because it was raining very hard, they came down no issue and set it up for us, all is well till the next day, slight wind knocked the awning on the roof of the camper and you could barely open the door (fire safety concern) no probably Danielle (awesome) came down and removed it, but had left the brackets which hang, wind was knocking them pretty hard into the camper so I called and asked if they’d come back down and remove it because it was a constant banging on the camper. When they arrived the maintenance guy didn’t know all the windows were open and stated to Danielle “if they just left the damn awning closed we wouldn’t have this issue”! Mind you he was the one who came to open it and Danielle stated before all the awnings do it and that’s why the campers don’t have them. Also adding my husband is an HVAC tech and we saw water dripping from where all the electrical was, maintenance came down did a cob job, and it still leaked so on Saturday night when it was 42 degrees, we had no heat and 2 small children in camper with us… brrrrr…they tried to say you could turn it on, but with water spraying and the electrical box being soaked my professional husband didn’t think it was smart to do.. Over all it was an not so great experience, but probably our one and only time there, I would like to say Danielle was great and Rachel was amazing, the maintenance guy shows he doesn’t care, and rude as heck, he would be the only reason we wouldn’t want to come back to this park.

It's not the best campsite if you are looking for woods camping. The campsite is very open set around a good sized fishing lake. My boyfriend and I had a primitive tent site, while my parents, two brothers and their wives stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. We were using this as a launching point for our trip to the Hall of Fame and along the Cooperstown Beverage Trail. We were up during an unseasonably cool week in August (Tuesday to Friday) and also dealt with rain, to some degree, everyday. I do not believe the inflatables were ever put up for safety reasons. The pool was open, but we did not use it, although we did see them cleaning it, and it looked very nice. The pavilion events were well attended, as was the "Hey Hey" ride (with the exception of Wednesday morning, when one lucky little girl got to enjoy the ride all by herself). The site was well kept and the staff was helpful. They had one of the cleanest camp restrooms I have ever seen. The cabin my parents stayed in was very nice. Small of course but not so small we couldn't take refuge inside when it rained and not be sitting on top of each other. The staff was awesome when we asked where we could fill our collapsible water jug. They appear to only have one station near the deluxe cabins that is a spigot, however they told us to just use the water from one of the open hookup sites. The staff was very helpful, they ran out of coffee at the cabin and the camp store only has Maxwell House which my mother does not like. One of the staff members gave her a sample of a gourmet coffee and said enjoy your stay. Now it wasn't a perfect stay, so here are some things to be aware of. The fire pits need improvement, as they offer little to no air flow, although this can be easily fixed with some decent sized stones to prop the ring up. I the ladies room in "Comfort Station 2" the two middle toilets work just fine, but are not solid on the floor, which can be scary when you don't expect it. Also the first shower needs the water pressure fixed. It was barely coming out. I did not try any of the others, so I don't know if it applies to all or only that stall. My boyfriend did not have the same issue in the men's shower. The primitive site boundaries are not well defined, which was not a problem for us as we only had one family leaving when we arrived and one family come our last night at the site, but I could see it as an issue (our site was 96). Lastly, is the garbage pick up schedule, namely the lack of informing you of when pick up takes place, and where to bring garbage if you miss pickup time, and there are no trash cans at or near campsites. In all it is a nice campground and would gladly...
