Northwood Shores — Hotel in Town of Oak Grove

Great campground! Very welcoming. Sites are spacious and the campground is extremely well kept. The owners and staff are friendly and very helpful. This is not a new campground but, if you are looking for the classic family camping experience, this is the place. They feature access to to a beautiful lake with a well kept beach area that includes a floating raft for the older kids. The lodge is centrally located with a game room and features ice cream and a small camp store. The pizzas they make are fantastic and an absolute must! The pool is centrally located and is well maintained. Overall this is a great campground for families. Super friendly owners! Cash only business. ATM in office. Wood on site for $5. Burns fast. Don’t recommend. Really good ice cream cones! Bags of ice. Has a pool that seemed to be heated. Specially for how cold it was. There’s a washer a dryer to use attached to the main office. Bring change. Nice trail to walk to the lake/beach area. Where they have kayaks and paddles boats. My only complaint would be how rude and loud the year round people get at night drinking. If it wasn’t for it being a holiday weekend I think we would of had a better spot. What a peaceful place to go visit and leave work behind. Quiet clean set up. Easy access to the lake for some swimming and a clean pool as well. The bathrooms are large and clean! Speaking for the ladies room, I bet there wasn't a spider web I seen. They even had convenient laundry machines at a cheap cost to use.
