My husband and I met at Aqua Vista as teenagers, and now we camp here with our own kids—carrying on a tradition started by our parents, who still camp here too. Over the years, it’s grown into a second home not just for us, but for our extended family and friends who also spend their summers here. It’s the perfect spot for families, with Friday night movies in the park, hayrides, cornhole, DJ dance parties, bingo, kids' crafts, a great pool and creek, and fun events like Christmas in July and the annual carnival. There’s always something going on, and Mike (the owner) does a great job keeping things fun, organized, and welcoming. Aqua Vista is truly our summer home away from home.

We’ve been camping at Aqua Vista Campground in Petersburgh, NY for 6 years now with my wife and our two kids (now 5 and 7), and we absolutely love it! This place truly feels like a second home for our family. The campground is beautiful, peaceful, and very family-friendly, with plenty of space for the kids to play and explore. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about keeping everything clean and well maintained. It’s the perfect spot to relax, make memories, and enjoy the outdoors together. We’re grateful to have found such an amazing family campground and look forward to many more years here!

My husband and I have been seasonal campers here for 5 years. We have met lifetime friends who we get together with in the winter. The staff is friendly and the owner is always willing to help if you have a problem. I am always excited in the spring to go back to aqua vista to see my camp family. The activities are fun for the young and not so young. Halloween is our favorite. Aqua vista is our second home

Aqua Vista is an amazing campground! Very very kid orientated, I even go as far as saying the BEST campground for kids! Every weekend there is a ton of kid activities planned, as well as adult ones. Every saturday night there is a dance party for the campers with a DJ, kids and parents alike have fun. Love holidays? I don't think there is a holiday NOT covered by this campground! Santa himself comes to visit in July and gives out presents (parents provide) Hay rides also every Saturday and sunday...as well a giant slip n slide! (Parents...it's fun!) And so so much more. Staff is wonderful, always very friendly and informational. If they don't have the info, they do their best to find out for you. Seasonal campers are all very friendly and helpful, the whole campground has a very home away from home feel to it. Has on site laundry, very well stocked store, always clean bathrooms with shower stalls. Pool is always clean. Sites are clean and well kept. Park for the kids. Dog park for the dogs! River access Someone complained about the wifi... The weekends are tough on it, with the campground being full. This is NOT a big city campground (even tho it's a hop skip and jump from albany, Mass and VT) That's being said it doesn't have big city companies to get Internet service from. The campground is so active during the day that you really shouldn't need the wifi. Cell service is not shotty, my husband has version and I have AT&T we both get 4g coverage and stream using our cell phones if the need arises. During the week the wifi is fine, coverage runs the entire park and well down the river (tubing adventures) We started out as weekend campers for 2 years. This is our 3rd year and we came in may and leave in august. We will be back next year, and are getting a permanent spot! Oh before I end this... Hate going our for those 4th of July fireworks? This campground does their OWN show! Without all that traffic...and crowding....and and and...I could keep going....but really come try it out for...

It is highly disturbing that children can bully other children at this campground and when adults attempt to explain the situation to the owner he refuses to listen to the adults and instead throws out his campers for using curse words but can curse himself and sadly can slander someone without knowing the facts. The owner called my brother a a disrespectful term without knowing that his fiancée is 22yrs old and has a disorder that causes her to not grow properly! Then while my family attempted to pack up and leave they allowed the children to taunt and swear at us. It wasn’t until I called the police because we were being threatened and these kids were standing behind our vehicles not allowing us to leave did the owner step in. It is beyond sad for my family we grew up at this campground ground and came here to make new memories with my children and instead we were treated like criminals. On top of it all the owner refused to refund our money. I have never been so poorly treated and if I could give this place 0 stars I would! You want a great place to take ur family where the seasonals are friendly and ur treated with respect go to...

If this chart had Negative stars that’s where I’d rate this camp ground. Pre-teens running all over with no supervision using curse words and being bullies to my 9 year old grandson all over a ball game that they lost.. I’m a 57 year old grandmother to a 9 and 3 year old and NEVER in my life have I ever been spoken to the way these pre-teens did to me today.. The taunts, lies and outrageous behavior from them was inexcusable… Supposedly this is a family oriented campground.. What happened to the good old days when you would march the child over to the parents to explain how disrespectful their child was being to adults and the parents would make them apologize and the matter closed. I literally had to put my grandchildren in the car and drive them home all because parents are no longer parenting but encouraging bad behavior… I guess I’m just old school,,,This generation is out of complete control.. We will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER dime at this campground and returning to Deer Run in mechanicville,ny where campers and their children are friendly and...
