Countryside Motel — Hotel in Town of Philipstown

A Staff Member Was Very Disrespectful and Very Unprofessional upon Check In. We Will take our business Somewhere else when We are in Town To film an Event , The Video Of this issue will be Posted On our website also To better warn Potential New Customers to Avoid this Motel . The Staff employee Said We Stink Really Bad Of Cigarettes when In Reality it was Icyhot that was on One of our Production staff members Then The Staff Member Said Something Concerning race under his Breath and Acted like Nobody heard it . He told The Employee That had Icyhot That Its $250 if Someone smokes in the room , And Our Production manager said She Agrees To No Smoking .. The Staff Member repeated himself 3 times Regarding Smoking in Rooms , While obtaining Payment for the Room, He Bends The Credit Card , Cracks It and Asks ,"No Chip" .. There is a reason it has availability. The Motel is easy to access and is close to restaurants and gas stations. Bring your own cleaning supplies - if you want a clean bathroom, dresser, headboard, table, etc. Would recommend bringing your own sheets. The window unit is dusty and moldy. There was only one usable outlet located in the bathroom. They do NOT clean the rooms on the weekends - as told to us by staff. You get a key to the lock on the door handle NOT the deadbolt. Depending on your needs, and standards, this Motel might work for you. I would rather pop a tent and sleep on the ground than return to this overpriced...

The photos are inaccurate - totally filthy compared to 8 other hotel/motels I’ve stayed in over the last 2 weeks. Registration gentleman was kind and showed me 3 different rooms and I thought I picked the cleanest one but after 30 mins I decided to leave due to the condition of the room. Maybe the photos were representative 5 years ago, but the general condition of the building and rooms is not what you see in the photos. I like to stay in old motels (and there are some beautifully maintained clean ones- inside & out) but my advice would be to stay somewhere else besides...
