If I could give a zero I would. The property is wonderful. The owners not so much. If you look at all the most recent reviews the property rating has gone down. This is because the owners sold the property so they truly do not care about their guests or bad reviews because this will just hurt the next owners. I will do my research and find out who bought the property and reach out to them as well in hopes they haven't finalized the sale because they should know what they are getting into. Now with that all out of the way let me explain in great detail so hopefully no one else ever has to experience this kind of bullying.||||I spent almost 2,000 dollars to rent 4 rooms Friday night and ALL the rooms Saturday. I was getting married Saturday and had explained almost a year in advance I would have people there while I got ready and was told no problem. Well once they had my money it was a problem. He yelled at my guest about parking in the guest parking lot no where near the trail riding parking lot which is what he was yelling about is he had and I quote "A business to run". I'm fairly sure I was a paying guest at that business as well. He told me and I quote again " I'm not used to dealing with your kind of people". Excuse me? What kind of people are those ? Paying customers? People who don't tolerate bullying from grown men yelling at females? I had 3 other business owners there doing my hair, makeup, and photos and all of them have said I have never heard anyone speak to someone like that and stay in business. I will also have them write reviews. I obviously broke no actual rules or he would have called the authorities or kicked me off the property but he knew he didn't have that right as I paid and could show my receipt and broke no actual rules. I find it funny as well he only yelled at the woman not one time did he address any of the men there. Bully's usually do target who they consider to be weak and speaks highly of his character.||||Now I tried to call about a week later when tensions where down and I had time to look over my agreement. I said to him no where in the agreement does it state I cant have guest when I paid for the rooms. No where in the agreement does it list parking limitations. He said to me "let me explain this really slow so you understand" I stopped him and said sir there is no reason for you to speak to me like that and insult me and he laughed. I said I would like to discuss your treatment of my guest and compensation for me getting charged extra time from my services because I was dealing with him yelling at my guest and he said I must be drunk and hung up on me. I don't even drink. He has not answered the phone since.||||All in all this business will take your money then treat you like garbage afterwards. The only reason everyone else says they are great is because they only see them at breakfast when they put on a fake smile but if you have any sort of issue with them or the property their true colors show. Thank god for us they wont be here...
Read moreRecently stayed one night at Letchworth Farm during our upstate NY fall trip. Booked room end of July for mid-Oct stay, and primarily chose the B&B for its location knowing we would need a place to stay after visiting Letchworth State Park. Plus it looked like a lovely place to stay. We requested 6 bed pillows, which is usually just 2 extra pillows for any hotel, B&B, etc. ||||Upon arrival no one was available to greet us, except 3 dogs and a cat, who promptly jumped on top of our car and started to groom itself. Funny! No problem with the directions and self-check in. But of course, no extra pillows. We called Richard and he promptly informed us, too bad so sad, no extra pillows. Honestly, what is the point of providing a special request when it will just get ignored. I generally expect a step up in service from B&B's because they are usually family run and more accommodating to customers. After a short discussion, Richard informed us he would try to find a solution. An hour or so later it just so happened some people didn't show up so we got their pillows. I realize 2 extra pillows doesn't see like a big deal, but it is when you've had surgery and need the extra support to be comfortable and sleep well. Keeping extra pillows and blankets on hand seems like a no brainer as an inn keeper. Isn't it important as a business owner in the hospitality industry to ensure the comfort of your guests? It never ceases to surprise us how many accommodations just don't care. And I guess why bother when you know folks probably won't ever return.||||Breakfast was as advertised, unique and good - a full English breakfast, the room was clean and quiet. The bed and pillows were squishy/worn out and need to be replaced. Beautiful property and stunning views. Hopefully the owners read their reviews and purchase a few extra items to enhance their...
Read moreMyself and 4 other women went horseback riding last Thursday. Initially, my sister in law booked for 4 people. The lady she was speaking too said there would be a discount if we had 5 people, so we invited an additional person. We get to the venue where we spent more time sitting on the horses in the white tent rather than riding on the trail. We were on the trail for 30 minutes and when we came back the owner used the walkie to ask the leader of our group, I believe her name was Nicole, why we were back already (so they knew we didn’t get the full time). We went to pay and didn’t receive any discount either.
My sister in law called a few days later as we weren’t happy about false advertising for the price/discount and length of the outing. She explained the situation and why were very not pleased with the experience and the owner said she wasn’t there that day (which she was, I met Daisy, and she had the same daisy tattoo on her left arm that I do). The owner told her that nobody has complained in 5 years and proceeded to hang up on her instead of making things right.
We were planning on coming back for the 2 hour ice cream ride but with an unprofessional company, unwilling to make a situation right due to their own actions makes us not want...
