We adored our "little house on the mountainside". It was cozy, comfy bed, amazing lawns and space between cabins.. Loads of hot water and a fully appointed kitchen. Michelle and Noah sent several reach outs to ensure we had everything we needed. The request to replace a bulb and empty the compost was immediately taken care of. As was a request to add a small table to the porch. They're conscientious environmentalists who truly care about the carbon footprints we leave. The coffee was fair trade, DELICIOUS, and replenished for the entire stay. Sugar the llama is a treat ♥️ Besides all of those wonderful things, both Michelle and Noah give off sweet, welcoming, and grateful energy. An absolute pleasure to be in the company of. We wish you many more years of success. Jon & Robin Fisher

My family had a beautiful experience staying at Clove Cottages. We stayed in the Green Cottage and enjoyed using the jetted tub and the covered porch in the evenings. My son's favorite part of our stay was meeting Sugar the llama, and seeing all of the other wildlife in the area. My husband and I liked how the cottages provided the feeling of being in a remote place, while still being reasonably close to stores and restaurants. We were also pleasantly surprised at how well the wifi worked! Our hosts, Michelle and Noah were so friendly and approachable, and provided helpful information about the surrounding area. This was our first time here but will not be the last!

The Red Cottage is our home away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We absolutely love staying here. The owners are just so friendly. Lots of perks with our stay: delicious granola, great coffee, fun game selection (in lobby/registration cabin), fire place, fire flies during the summer (it’s beautiful in the summer- during their mating season- can’t tell the difference between the stars in the sky, and the plethora of fireflies), proximity to great hiking, and the AMAZING scones on Sunday!

Clove Cottages is an amazing place! The location is beautiful, both the property itself and the nearby areas. I didn't have a car so was a bit worried about how easy it would be to get around, but there are taxi services that go to nearby places like New Paltz and Kingston, as well as the Mohonk hiking trails. There was plenty to do in the area and the cottage I stayed in (Blue Cottage) was super-clean and lovely, and had everything I needed. If you are without a vehicle, definitely pick up groceries in Kingston or somewhere on the way, but I think both Stone Ridge and High Falls (the nearest villages) have small food markets, they're just not reasonably walkable and I didn't want to have to take a taxi for groceries, so I grabbed stuff when I was in bigger towns. I had a lovely, relaxing stay at this magical place. Noah and Michelle were very welcoming, and I enjoyed meeting their pet llama! I would definitely recommend...

This was our second time in the Blue Cottage. Our first time was in July 2019. We bike and hike in the local area several times a year and this is a great, low key place that is so convenient for us. Peaceful is an understatement. You can hear a pin drop at any time of the day which is exactly what we like. The Blue Cottage isn’t big but it’s everything you need for a couple. If you don’t like the outdoors or being in the middle of nowhere, this isn’t for you. Luckily, we do. We even got to see Sugar, the llama again. We made breakfast every morning: electric stove, coffee pot and toaster worked perfectly. There’s also a microwave and fridge/freezer. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Michelle and...
