WARNING, STAY AWAY!!! DONT BE FOOLED BY THE PHOTOS!!! My in-laws booked a holiday vacation for the whole family without doing more research about the place. It was advertised as a Passover Resort Program, etc.. we saw the reviews and got scared, so we came to check it out ourselves. We were appalled, to say the least. Bugs everywhere you look. Mold spots on the ceiling, musty old smell in the rooms, torn up carpets, dust, and dirt scattered throughout. We tried to bring up the issues to the program manager. It all fell on deaf ears. To add insult to injury, he was rude and unprofessional. It's understandable that people act this way when they're under pressure, but if you work in the hospitality industry, you're expected to maintain calm and collected. The guy was yelling at me and threatened to call the police. After all of this, they refused to refund the deposits, which was thousands of dollars. The hotel is infested with bugs and mold. The owners are a slumlords.

This was genuinely the worst staying experience I’ve ever had. I don’t leave reviews but this needs to be said. Let me start by saying this is not a resort or a spa, do not fall for it. They need to change the name because the name on our receipt said National Jewish Convention Center. So much was wrong here it was almost comical. Everything is severely run down or just doesn’t work at all. The smell of the entire building is insane and it’s everywhere, from the lobby to the rooms, to the stairwell and elevators. We stayed on the 6th floor and the elevators did not work. Upon entering our room the smell was so bad. The windows were cracked and broken. The curtains did not close all the way to stop the draft from coming in. We could not call down to complain with the phone in the room because that didn’t work either. The room was literally falling apart from the wall paper to the bed and the base board molding around the room being held together by staples that were also sticking out the wall. Half the lights in the room either didn’t work or flickered to the point of giving someone with epilepsy a seizure. The shower was so severely clogged taking a shower was almost impossible. Speaking of the water the ice from the machines had more black specks in it than ice. The pool in the basement is something out of a horror movie. Do not fall for the photos, above the pool there is a massive hole in the ceiling with insulation just falling out. Walked around the pool to inspect it and the amount of bandages that we found in the pool was ridiculous. DO NOT GO IN THE POOL. The gym also located in the basement is a hazard. The equipment I’m assuming was all found outside people’s houses that were either giving it away or throwing out. The literal only saving grace of this place was the people at the front desk they were truly wonderful and I hope they are paid well. Please for the love of god do not stay here. If you have the slightest respect for yourself you wouldn’t. You’d be better off sleeping in your car or pitching a tent. I wish I took photos but I did not want to be around his health hazard they try calling a 3 star hotel. They have to be paying someone off to keep the 3 star mark. I give it one year until this place...

I don't like to leave poor reviews, I try to find something good to say about each place I stay so I'll start with that. The conference staff that they hire here each summer are amazing people! They work long hours, are friendly, helpful and VERY professional! I have come here repeatedly in the last 8 years for a specific conference and I have seen the same workers year after year and they are always extremely dedicated to providing above standard service.

The fact that their support staff is so dedicated makes the reality that the owners, a Chinese conglomerate, care so little for the premises a terrible contradiction. The facility is run down, full of roaches and reeks of chemicals. The electricity fails when you try to run a computer at the same time as the air conditioning in any of the conference rooms. The hallways and common are as are shabby and haven't been updated in all the time I've been coming here.

When I finally got into my room at 8pm the opening night of the conference, I immediately checked my mattress for bedbugs, as I had seen online that they had suffered an infestation earlier in the year. Imagine my surprise when I found a LIVE baby cockroach. I immediately took my bags and went to the front desk to inform them and all they did was offer to change the sheets. I explained that I really didn't think the roach had dirtied them and checked out. I stayed elsewhere for the duration of the conference and alerted the organizers of the conference.

The property has lost their liquor licence the day before our arrival due to another guest becoming so inebriated he fell down a staircase and instead of calling 911, they put him to bed and left him there. He had broken ribs, a broken shoulder and internal injuries.

The pool was closed because earlier in the year a child drowned in the pool and they didn't report it to the health department.

Accidents do happen, but one would hope that when you stay at a resort YOUR safety would come first, that obviously isn't the case here. Cleanliness obviously doesn't come first either. Money comes first and customer service comes last.

I wouldn't recommend this resort to my worst enemy. Avoid it...

I would give zero stars if that was an option. My mother, a hard-working single mom, treated me and my wife for a holiday.

The rooms are at least large enough , and carpets are stained. The maid service was good. Elevators for the Sabbath worked. The lobby has an Egyptian, 911 , pictures from the 1960s. Theme?

The food was running out. The wait staff took some of the counselors, they're were so short staffed. The counlsers staff were great! The Maitre de David! yelling at females who were not supposed to waitress not cool and its not 1960 any longer where women have to tolerate that or anyone. They should have gone family style

The food everything was from a jar or bucket. No doubt. At least they had soda. The tablecloths were wrinkled and scary. We watched a waiter a few times spill a plate iba a guest . Didn't even look back.

This was not cheap. We heard mummors how little other guests were charged and my honest mother probably paid the most. Shame !

The crowd were interesting some were scary as I think the rate was cut so low I don't know how they could afford when thet didn't work as we heard !

The front end staff and the maintenance people seemed like family. They were actually really nice but totally unprofessional hanging in front at every turn smoking, drinking no uniform. I figured they are keeping the place alive..

Very sad I walked around the hotel so many rooms full of debris.

They did allow dogs! Which I had to pay for as we didn't want my dog to add stains to the stains already there.

The TV did work as well.

We were so fed up though we paid until Monday . We left Saturday night. I'd rather sleep where it's clean.

FYI the dumpsters bears have made it their feeding area. So at night be careful if you have a dog.

The only redeeming thing is the grounds are nice. And maintained.

Seems the days of the Catskills hotels where actors and sports stars vacationed are long over.

I usally write positive or no reviews but this place ripped off my mother who called and was willing to come...
