I'm going to give this place the most honest review I can. We rented a cabin during the week. Cabin was clean honestly fairly priced. We rented it for a Wednesday Thursday night. Got it for about 280 bucks. Good deal. In my opinion, the campground itself was much less busy during the week than it is on the weekends, which we enjoyed. I witnessed several checkings of the pool chlorine level when I was there which I like to see. Overall colors of the campground was about a A-. Overall good. Experienced couple letdowns as far as Wi-Fi across the campground was extremely mediocre. Not a big deal but also should be stated. Camp staff is both pleasant while others are grumpy. As you can tell they've had enough. Location okay if God is conveniently located get to a grocery store in about 6 minutes while still in feeling like you're, you're far away from civilization. Overall, good experience

We camp at another Adventure Bound across the state. We decided to stay here because it was close to Saratoga Springs and Lake George. We camped here for 9 nights. The campground had a lot of activities on the weekends. The Western Weekend was so much fun. My kids loved the pony rides. The sites are a bit close compared to the other Adventure Bound we go to, but it worked out. The water slides and pools are a lot of fun. We camped out in the 400s which didn’t have many people during the week which made it peaceful. I highly recommend this campground. It’s a lot of fun.

We haven't been to this campground in 25+ years and it was so much fun like it was back then. We rented 2 cabins, one with a dog, and we had the best time ever. The store has everything you need. The cabins was spotless and had much more than I expected. Some pots and pans, dish soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Halloween weekend was so much fun and everyone camping and the staff were all very friendly. There's a town nearby too which is helpful. We will definitely be coming back

Please don't waste your hard earned money! I recently spent a week at the Schaghticoke, NY "Deer Run Campground." We went with friends and rented a deluxe trailer. The trailer was fine. The rest of the place on the other hand was something else. Lets start with this was July 4th week and they ran on a skeleton crew with only reinforcements arriving on the Thursday for the holiday weekend. At best the skeleton crew otherwise just wasn't enough. Let's start with the pools. cloudy, full of dirt at the bottom, dead frogs and tumbleweeds of hair in the filters, clearly not regularly cleaned. Even a living frog in one filter laying eggs into the pool. Ripped diapers and bandaids in and out of the pool. No scent of chlorine in the pools for the kids. My husband cleaned out filters and I skimmed the top of the pool. The inflatable area, when it was possible to be open, due to the weather, simply either wasn't or when it was had too many "sick calls" to accomodate opening on a holiday week, really. but I can assure you people were grading the dirt roads every day whether they needed it or not. Poor management of staff. Ofc ourse, after multiple parent complaints they gave the staff from the ceramics area ( not many people using it anyway ) to open 1/2 the park. (2) attendants, one of which left the area frequently to walk into the pool in her rolled up blue jeans (no cutoffs allowed on sign) and to talk to, my guess is her children. Frequently we would notice only one person at the entrance but no one manning the stairs to each inflatable. When I asked the manager what the pool cleaning regimen was and explained in detail what we found (mind you the pool doesn't open until 11am, plenty of time to clean it daily.) She explained the sick calls and called someone on a walkie talkie to check it out. No one came and the frog remained there laying eggs all day. The next day things were better. The next day their were 3 people manning the inflatable playground for 4 attractions. When we first arrived on Sunday the snack shack which posts it had opening hours on Sunday was closed and when we wanted to rent the 4 wheeled peddle bikes at 5:30 even though I was told it was supposed to be available until 7pm, no one wanted to go out and meet us to use them. Apparently, skeleton crew running the place except for the holiday and I can tell you it showed. The manager was as pleasant and courteous as she could be but clearly use of staff in emergency situations was not something that was well thought out, having staff on back up or even coming in for extra pay would have been smart. I paid a premium price to go to this place, and in comparison to others it is SO NOT WORTH what I paid. Some of the bath houses had little to no water pressure and they were also not kept up regularly by staff simply to be certain toilets were flushed and up kept. Big disappointment for my entire family and friends. I will not be coming back. I spent a great deal of money and conveyed my discontent on at least 2 occasions and heard the same from many others there. BEWARE go somewhere...

Zero stars! This place is like a trashy trailer park. (I grew up in a trailer most of my life so no offense meant) They have the camper/trailers parked in here so close together that it's like being stuffed into a sardine can. The showers are gross and questionable with paint coming off of the cobbed pipes and ceiling pieces (broken pieces of wood), our view from our site is the back of the laundry mat (check pictures) the "fire rings" are basically no different than a tire rim. No rocks around it to even attempt to jazz/class them up at all. Put us on a 50 watt site when we booked a 30 watt which required us to go to their camp store and drop $22 on an adapter to make the site work for us since our camper only came with a 30 watt attachment (hence the reason for booking a 30 watt site) the "game room" is a joke because the air hockey table is out of order and the few games they do have all cost $1 each per game...really?! We had a hard time finding our site because once we ruled out which one was ours based on the number signs on the sites around us we eventually set up "camp" and found the site number sign that was at some point on the tree was on the ground broken into a couple of pieces. Another example of how they choose not to keep up with any upkeep or improvements. The general pools (2 side by side) are all advertised to be heated pools but are ice cold because apparently the heaters are broke. One of the two pools are dirty, slimy and questionable looking where as the other is cleanish looking but again is very cold and they false advertise that their pools are all heated. The adult pool in the back of the grounds is nice, clean, and heated but is quite small and you have to be 21 at least to be allowed in. The "kiddie pool" which is fenced in next door to the adult pool (separate fences) is supposed to be heated but again must be broken because it was super cold and goes up to most kids knees so it's a baby pool at best. This place is a joke and a waste of time. If it were not the fact we are locked into the two days we booked then we would have left before even setting up!! Never again!! So nasty and low scale!! The best thing they have to offer here are the two inflatable water slides which were deflated and down before we even finished setting up camp which was approx 7pm. It doesn't even get dark until 9:30 🙄. The most money they have spent was most likely on their pass key scanner cards to get in and out of the grounds. People screaming and swearing and letting their kids run amuck at 11pm and that's what you hear when you attempt to have a "fire" and relax or give up and go to bed but what's the point with all of the trashy people's noise. (And I'm not even an early to bed person!) Don't waste your time here!! Please! Disappointment is an...

There's a lot to talk about, good and bad. Overall, our family of three young kids and a dog liked it and would return again.

The great: the new slide/splash area is very well-done, looks like a high-end theme park and the kids love it. The other pools are well-maintained, and there's lots of lawn chairs, tables and umbrellas. It's a very nice area.

The playground is also super-nice, and the whole area is great for biking since there are no hills and tons of speed bump to keep cars and carts from speeding.

The bathrooms are new, automated, and fairly attractive, although they look like any gross camp bathroom after a busy weekend. On Friday I loved them and on Sunday I could barely stand to be in them. They don't seem to be cleaned that often.

The bad: The long winding road to the camp is dangerous because of endless crater-like potholes. I wish I were exaggerating, but some are several feet wide and deep. You could easily break an axle.

They pack you in like sardines. We pop-up trailer camped in the back "lettered section" of the grounds. It's basically a field, no road. From the window of my camper I could practically reach out and touch the electrical box of my neighbor - and their fire pit. It's a tight squeeze, plus there's zero shade on the east side.

There really aren't any structured activities for young kids aside from the electric train ride. The nightly wagon ride is all screaming teenagers (which is fine, just not for kids) and there's zero crafts or games. The slides and pools kept the kids busy so they didn't really care though.

The "meh": The staff are mostly indifferent and uninterested in their employment. No one was rude, but no one was particularly inclined to talk with us either.

There are a LOT of permanent residents. Like, I would say 3/4 of the camp are permanent and have kept the same plot for decades. Some have actual mini-houses. It's sort of like going to camp at a trailer park where you're next to neighbors with vegetable gardens, cluttered fake flower assortments and hundreds of faded stone frogs and pink flamingos. Part of me thinks it is quaint, and part of me feels like I'm intruding on someone's neighborhood.

The "dog park" is an old fenced in area very far from the rest of camp. Just walking your dog there and back is probably...
