When Amy the owner answered the phone and told me she had one room left for the night, I was thrilled. My friend and I loved our experience at Lakeview Inn. Amy was extraordinary. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From a beautiful room in the inn with a jacuzzi and fireplace, to complimentary beverages and free use of kayaks on Schroon Lake, everything about Lakeview Inn is top notch. Sparkling clean rooms at the inn, adorable cabins, WiFi, a bonfire area, a grill for cooking, lovely spacious grounds to walk around, a wrap around porch with rocking chairs, and a cute gazebo. Lakeview Inn is just down the road from the village of Schroon Lake and walking distance to DeCesare's Pizzeria. The free kayaks are a terrific way to enjoy gorgeous Schroon Lake and there's four of them on the dock. You can even sit in Amy's pontoon boat. If you're feeling thirsty, there's all kinds of complimentary beverages from coffee to tea, to bottled water, beers, and even Irish Whiskey to drink at the inn. What more could you ask for? My friends and I stayed at the hillside cabin (note:this is a dog friendly cabin!), for a little getaway from the real world pandemic going on and to enjoy the lake. From the time we pulled in the parking lot until we left, we were smiling and laughing ear to ear. This place is TOP NOTCH! Our cabin was beautiful, cozy and had that cute outdoorsy feel to it. Beds were very comfortable, everything was super clean and tidy! The grounds of the Inn are wonderful as well, and you just feel comfortable and at home here! We were able to use their dock and hang out on the boat that is there on the lake, we connected some floats (some we brought with us but some were provided by the inn) to the boat and just relaxed and sunbathed! ||Amy and Kevin, the Inn owners are wonderful hosts and genuinely care about their guests.
