My wife and I spent a few days in Nancy's peaceful inn while the kids were away at 'Camp Grandma'. The experience was amazing. The timing of our trip (mid July) was such that the prairie setting on the property was in full bloom and overwhelmingly beautiful. Endless fields of wild flowers were breathtaking. We chose to bike the area trails and Nancy easily accommodated our cycling lifestyle and vegetarian diet. She started us off with hearty breakfasts (out of this world granola, Door County cider that my wife now can't live without, fresh picked produce from her garden -- we saw her pick it while prepping the meal -- and quality/healthy fuel for the day's spinning). The location was ideal for our adventures: gentle rolling terrain, car free roads, and access to the trails that make this part of Wisconsin a cycle mecca. We stayed in the suite with the Inn's namesake and would highly reccommend this accommodation. The summer air flow from the sun room through the bed room was enhanced by leaving the door open to the screen porch. Combine that with the large windows all around us, and it felt like we were sleeping under the stars. The night sounds and sensory experiences made for a very restful sleep. Nancy shared some yoga and meditation practices with my wife while I took in some early morning running, no better way to start the day for us both. While cycling across the midwest, we have stayed at many B&B's. Nancy's hospitality is genuine, sincere, and immediately comforting. Her Inn is constructed with extreme attention to ecology and energy conservation, an approach that means a great deal to my family as we value our environment and wish to protect it. It is an uncommon pairing that in a service based business, a proprietor can achieve both outstanding ammenities and world class service while still prioritizing green initiatives. Nancy has found that in her Inn. We will certainly be back to...

And you go there and think, the food's ok but I'm not sure I really feel like family to the server who brought me lasagna. Well, at the Springdale Inn, it's like you literally are family. Nancy is like an aunt you never knew you had who says you can stay with her while you're in the area and she'll make you breakfast! In all seriousness, Nancy has such a rare gift for connecting with people. We immediately felt so comfortable in her home. The land is beautiful (she took the time to mow the prairie paths before we arrived so we could take a short hike) and she taught us about the different wildlife and plantlife around the property. I was surprised how much we learned. The house is clean, cozy, and welcoming and our room was very comfortable. We had the room with the screen porch, sun room, and a big bathtub. We only had one night to stay in the area or else we might have spent more time luxuriating because it really was such a relaxing and comfortable space. We even loved that the tv in the room had streaming channels through a Firestick. Breakfast was delicious strawberry rhubarb crepes and fresh fruit with yogurt. From start to finish, Nancy took excellent care of us and made us feel right at home. She is a gem and this place is...
