The weekend trip was pretty much what I expected. The campsites were decently sized (we camped with a group of 4 tents and 1 giant camper, and we had 3 sites). There was a bathroom in the bar/restaurant, if you wanted to walk that far, or the "restrooms" shown on the campground map are just 3 port-a-potties, not actual restrooms. There was a shower house up in the seasonal area, so it was a small trek, but the showers were hot and they were free. Water pressure was extremely low, so if you have long hair, be prepared for it to take an extra 10 mins just to rinse. There was just a "centralized water source" for the campsites, and our sites didn't happen to be near it, so that was a small hassle, but I guess if I was tenting it, I would expect that.
The staff was not rude to us, they just gave us the same schpiel they give out 50 times a day, so you could tell they were sick of saying it. I agree with a previous google reviewer that there was a long wait in the hot sun for tubing on Saturday. They could change the set-up of the tubing window to have different stations or gazebos or something so that people could move through faster. There were also people standing in line to check in for camping, people cutting in line to return canoe rental keys, etc, so it was extremely unorganized.
I thought the tubing was overpriced for what you got. It was $20 for a tube, and the tube didn't have any cupholders. (Wolf River tubing is $11 and you get cupholders.) Also, the "cooler tubes" were a joke for $4. They were the old-fashioned black rubber tubes with ropes tied across them so you could rest a cooler on top, but the cooler was crooked the entire ride. Every time we opened the cooler, ice and drinks would fall out into the river.
All in all, I did have a fun time over the weekend because my group made it fun. I would have given it a higher rating if the campground had more bathrooms throughout the campground, cheaper prices on the tubes, better organization, water at the campsites, and a dump station for RVs. (Again, the campground map shows a dump station, but there isn't one there.) This campground has more of a family atmosphere than other tubing campgrounds that I've stayed at, but I'd still leave the kids at home til they're over 10. It pretty much caters to 20 and 30 yr olds who want to drink...

Me, my fiance and his family went for the fourth of july and it was so fun that we'll be going again in about a week it was legit so fun I heard some ppl say that they thought it was "trashy" cuz theres a trailer park right by it but like really its not like its in the way or something its just by the bar where the whole check in stuff is. You fill out a paper and put everyone in your groups name on a paper (or for big groups like ours 2 papers) and then you give them your car key which some people I heard complain about but it's so understandable they do it so they know how many groups are on the water still and it made me feel extra safe that we wouldnt just float off down the river and get forgotten then again I worry about everything little thing (which by the time we were about to go on the water I didnt have any worry's anymore except for how to like steer the tubes around to go to the edge ur supposed to stay on but once we got in it was super easy to figure out just gotta use team work and have anyone not helping try not to cause too much drag/resistance against where ur trynna steer to) Just dont forget your sunscreen cuz its four hours with almost zero shade and 100/10 you'll have a good time theres even a pizza place that you can stop at and around there and the end there were ppl on jet skis I think theyre called helping people if they wanted to get over to the side with the pizza place and helping people go the right way at a split in the river by the end (pretty sure there's two splits but they tell you which side to stay on so MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION WHEN THEY ARE DOING THE PREP SPEECH AND ON THE BUS THE DRIVER SAID SOME STUFF TOO SO LIKE JUST PAY ATTENTION THE WHOLE TIME BECAUSE THEYRE TELLING YOU THESE THINGS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT ONCE UR OUT...
Read moreOn Monday, the six of us went on a tubing adventure. We jumped in the bus and was taken to the starting point by the wife of the “husband and wife team” owners. She was extremely friendly and informative of all the rules, what’s expected, river conditions, and timetables. She also told us that JetSki Fred would be out there to greet us and help us along our adventure. Within minutes of getting in the water JetSki Fred was there to push us along to be on the right side of the river. About an hour into our trip one of the persons in my party lost her phone case, we then called the office asked if JetSki Fred would come help us locate the phone case. He was there within 10 minutes and searched around aimlessly for another 20 minutes and could not find it. We were very appreciative JetSki Fred. He was very apologetic even though he didn’t lose the phone but my friend did. We got to the rock bar where we had service and Wi-Fi and was able to pinpoint the precise location of where the phone was. We then called the office back. Fred was there in less than 10 minutes. My other friend jumped on the JetSki with Fred and came back in five minutes and had my friends phone case. Phone, money credit cards were all dry. The exceptional customer service that we received from the owners was above and beyond. They truly care about their customers. If I could give them a 10 star, I would. This year they got new tubes with back rests, which are phenomenal and so comfortable. We really enjoyed that you get to stop at a bar get some pizzas and have excellent friendly service from the bartender. I recommend this place among any other place in this area to do your tubing. This is the only place I will go in this area for a...
