Catskill Mountain Domes — Hotel in Town of Stamford

Not great. The decor inside is lovely,the finishes are on trend but the property is not well maintained. There are holes in the structure with grass growing in, tape and plastic sheeting covering rips& tears in the structure. There are snails and bugs all over inside, as well as dirt, hair & dust & makeup stains. Beyond that Mr. Hunt has cameras with audio recording and he will watch and listen to you. Some of these cameras point directly at the “pool” area. The cell service was spotty at best, so if you don’t download or print instructions from your email then you’re out of luck when you get to the “lux” dome. There is no instruction book or guest manual on site. The plunge pool is not maintained, full of bugs, alive and dead with a smell that indicates that it has long been ignored. Outdoor furniture is worn and broken, outdoor lights hang at just the right height to clothesline you. Parking and trails are not maintained or marked, and Cody will reprimand you for parking in the “incorrect” spot when no parking location has been delineated. There are extension cords all over the outside in walkways which are a tripping hazard. We checked out and went to a hotel where guest services told us they’d had other guests who complained about being watched at a local Airbnb, one wonders if they were speaking about the #catskillmountaindomes This dome has been here since June 2023, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s in such an unkept and worn out state in such a short time. The only logical conclusion I can draw is that Cody doesn’t visit it as frequently as he should, or does not have a grounds keeper. Instead of lux this property should be listed as rustic, at best. Interior decor does not make up the numerous upkeep oversights that are abundant. There’s also a giant rat trap outside right next to the hole in the dome where the grass is growing through. I’m sure there are many other things that should be called to attention, but we didn’t stick around long enough to take photos or find out more. Further, Cody will lie to Airbnb and say that guests covered his cameras and damaged property when this is far from the truth. Don’t believe everything you see...

My boyfriend booked the domes for an anniversary get away this past weekend. It was such a shock seeing the domes for the first time! I had no idea what to expect and I was speechless! The domes are absolutely stunning and so creative! When we arrived we were instantly greeted by Rigo who is absolutely amazing and so helpful and kind and he helped load our belongings in a side by side and drove us to our dome. He then helped us unload and showed us how everything worked and welcomed us to the domes. Our entire stay was so relaxing and just beautiful, no one bothered us & the dome had EVERYTHING you could ever need to make your stay away from home, incredibly home like! The only thing you have to bring is your food/drinks and activities to keep you occupied but there is much to do there ! You get your own fire pit with so much wood you will never run out , your own deck, grill and tables. The view is great. We will DEFINIETLY come back!! and I already have 3 other friends looking to book. UPDATE: We are now home and I realized I forgot my book and we live 3 hours away I called and texted Rigo, he got back to me within 20 minutes to help coordinate my books return. Amazing!!!!! I had the best time ever here. It was the best, most relaxing retreat ever. The beds and pillows were insanely comfortable. Felt like home! The place was very very clean! And smelled great! The mountain views were so beautiful to look at. Especially in the pool or over a cup of coffee! It was very easy to cook a meal too. The design and decor, is stunning!! The couch was also very comfortable. I could have slept on it. The farms and towns in the area are so adorable to visit. The stars at night were perfect. Plus shooting stars!!
