We paid over $1500 for 3 nights for what we thought our own safe place with family. From the moment we got there, we were met with rule after rule. Not welcoming at all. The innkeeper was constantly there and telling us what and what not to do. We couldn’t use the back door at all just the front, no way to regulate heat, You can only use the washer and dryer in an emergency as guests yrs ago ruined it for others by leaving it dirty and she had to clean it. We made our trip fun but not because of the inn. This inn is NOT covid sanitized by any means and is lacking serious safety protocols. There were two visible smoke detectors only in the great room. We went and bought 2 additional for our bedrooms, no clear fire exit plan, no fire extinguishers we also bought 2 of our own to feel safe. There were dead flies on the floor in the bedrooms, we had to leave all coats, jackets ,shoes etc in front entry as the smell from snowmobiling gets her sick. The bathrooms were not cleaned well, there was toothpaste spit on the fixtures and floors were dirty and dog hair everywhere. We wiped down everything throughout the weekend with Clorox wipes. We thought this would be a safe place for us to be together but the lady used our bathroom and had no mask ever! She stated she was an earlier riser but what an understatement 3-4 am and she woke our grandson. Don’t sleep in the living room or she will literally wake you up and tell you to go upstairs. One in our group has a bad back and had to sleep in a chair and she woke him up. She also talks bad about other past guests with children and a group of snowmobilers that didn’t conform to her ways. Our group was both small children and snowmobiling. I could really go on....we would not recommend nor ever return due to safety protocols alone much less...
Read moreThis is an excellent, inexpensive place to stay. It is beautifully decorated. It is an 1840-something church converted into rooms with much of its original detail left in tact. It is impeccably maintained. The bathrooms are down the hall, but they are very clean and it was not a problem at all to share with other guests. ||||Old Church Inn would be perfect for snowmobilers, cross country skiiers, or ATVers. There are extensive trails in the area which can be accessed from the front door. I...
