Blue Ox Music Festival is hands-down one of the most amazing festivals I’ve ever attended. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed into a vibrant, down-to-earth community filled with good vibes, incredible music, and beautiful surroundings.

The festival is wonderfully family-friendly, with plenty of space for kids to roam and enjoy, thoughtful and fun activities on the family stage for kiddos of all ages. Blue Ox has a safe, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind and be present. It's the kind of place where generations can enjoy music, art, and nature together.

The grounds are absolutely stunning—rolling hills, shaded woods, and open fields provide the perfect backdrop for both the main stage energy and the more intimate late-night sets. Whether you're camping or glamping, the amenities are top-notch: clean showers, accessible water stations, delicious food options, and well-organized camping make the whole experience seamless and comfortable.

What really sets Blue Ox apart, though, is the sense of community and creativity. The art installations and friendly faces around every corner add so much color and personality to the event.

If you're looking for a music festival that’s as rejuvenating as it is fun—Blue Ox is it. Can’t wait to come...

This year was different and some things were good and some not so good. Loved being able to buy food with cash rather than tickets. However, no buses for people parking and not staying in campgrounds. Just small handicap bus which you could ride if there was space.

The Sheriff Department deputies were, as usual, good and bad. The bad staff overshadowed the truly helpful deputies. I'm in my 60's and got lost out in country first night when I left. I politely asked if I could please go straight on Crescent. The parking lot was almost empty and there was room to drive straight. The officer yelled at me and asked, "Do you know how to drive?" and then screamed at me to turn left. I said I've just been driving out in the country for 1/2 hour, can I please go the way I know. I had 3 ladies from out of town also. They couldn't believe how rude and the officer was. He again yelled at me. I heard the same story from other people. Are you here to serve and protect? Bottom line: no reason to be...

This was such an incredible event and an amazing location! I was of course expecting to love the music but I was honestly blown away by the technical prowess and energy of every single band we saw. I loved how close together the stages were, we really got to experience so many bands with relatively little walking back and forth. The visibility was great and the lights from the main stage on the pines at night were stunning. The backwoods stage was absolutely magical. This was my first year and I heard there was a lot more art than previous years. Keep it going, we love the art!! The campsites were reasonably spacious without making the site too sprawling. The food trucks were stellar of course, my only regret is not getting to try all of them. LOVED the easy access to water, super important at an event like this. Port-a-potties were well maintained and easy to access and the showers were appreciated.

Overall, AMAZING shows and comfortable camping! Looking forward...

Great lineup of music! Mostly bluegrass (bluegrass adjacent) but they also mix in some other genres. The portapotties are always clean. The Soul Sanctuary is nice if you are looking for some mindfulness through yoga, dance, or meditation. There are three stages and I highly recommend the backwoods stage for a more intimate experience under the trees. It’s also very fun to check out late night sets. If you are a musician, either beginner or advanced, you can always find someone to pick with at the Potluck Pickin Place. We have been to Blue Ox for several years. This was our first time camping in family camping. It was quiet (once the music ended for the night) and lovely to share space with other families. One thing to note, is that the tent camping sites are not necessarily flat, so if you are picky about sleeping on a slope, maybe book an RV spot where you can jack your RV up to level. I love Blue Ox!

We are here for the 10th anniversary edition, and it is great! A beautiful day and excellent lineup. There are so many things this festival does right; pretty much, you think of it, and Blue Ox does it well. There's really only one big negative from my perspective, and Blue Ox does communicate about it but there's only so much they can do: inconsiderate smokers! Wow, not only have lots of these folks missed the Surgeon General memo from decades ago, they apparently didn't read the Blue Ox FAQ either. Can't even count the number of times we had to move due to people lighting up cigarettes nearby. Oh well....

Great atmosphere, talented musicians, relaxing sound bath at the Soul Sanctuary! The only thing that was missing for me as a first timer was bigger schedules and maps at the entrances with volunteers who could tell me where the Soul Sanctuary and all the beautiful art installations were. I wished there was a map just for the art. I had to ask a few people until I knew where I had to go. Densely packed stage and camping areas, but overall calm and peaceful. Lots of artsy people! Would definitely go back!
