Gorgeous Seneca Lakefront Vacation Rental — Hotel in Town of Varick

First of all. Communication with Joe Rao (the owner), even before our stay, was excellent! A true gentleman. When my wife and I finally got to meet him upon our arrival, it was like meeting a long lost friend. He couldn’t be more accommodating with anything we needed, which was very little. Joe & his wife Pat had every necessity we needed there.

The cottage…it was so clean, you could eat off the floors. Over the years, my wife & I had stayed at so many places. You can tell when someone takes great pride in providing lodging. Joe & Pat are these people. The decor was so nice. Their attention to detail is spot on. They even had a framed welcome picture with our names on it, hanging on the wall in the kitchen as you walk in. That was such a wonderful touch. They had a three ring notebook full of information about the whole area (ie. Attractions, wineries, breweries, distilleries, eateries, etc.). They even had instructions for things for the cottage.

The cottage was a good size. We enjoyed fires in the fireplace and watching tv late at night. (There is also an outside fireplace). Very little steps to walk down to Lake Seneca. The view from this cottage to the lake is outstanding.

Location was excellent for exploring wineries & breweries. We even went to explore The Gorge in Watkins Glen.

My wife and I are already planning another trip to the Finger Lakes. At least we know where we will be staying.

I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary and the cottage was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway in the Finger Lakes! We arrived to a clean and cozy place with an unbeatable view of the lake. Everything you need to know about the cottage and the surrounding area is in welcome binder. The proximity to the wineries and restaurants is great but we really enjoyed sitting on the lakeside patio with our morning coffee. We will definitely be making this an annual trip!

The owner, Joe, was extremely helpful and friendly- We will make a point to join his fishing charter next time, as we saw them bring a haul back...

This is our favorite place to stay when in the Finger Lakes. We have stayed almost 3 yrs in a row before we moved South. Captain Joe and his wife (owners) are wonderful people and very hospitable. Captain Joe even took us on an educational tour of the Lake while we sipped our wine during the sunset. Many beautiful memories there. I can not wait to visit again. This cottage is...
