Glenmore Hotel & Duffy at the Glenmore — Hotel in Town of Webb

It was 20 years ago, and I now know new owners have taken over. We rode from Redfield to stay the night. We enjoyed ourselves very much with the food, the bar, the pool table, and the fireplace. our rooms were just waiting for us upstairs. I was an EMT at the time and a guy stumbled in the door after striking a tree at high speed. They called 911 and I attended to the pt.. A little while later a guy probably in his 70 appears and asks me what I need. I replied with "whoever is taking over so I can give a report. He said you're gonna have to help us out. There are only 3 EMT's in the whole town during the winter. I ended up in the back of the ambulance with a guy with a severe TBI on our way to Utica (the closest hospital, not even a trauma center). The owner's son followed in his car. I am guessing that about 1/2 there another EMT got in the back and finished the transport. When I returned, everyone was already asleep and we awoke to pouring rain. It was a miserable ride back, and we contemplated staying another night. In fairness to the owner, it was an off night. He was very friendly and honest. Two of our group ordered fish sandwiches. He came back after a bit and said they would be a while longer because he didn't like the way the fish looked. He had the cook make some fresh. So points for that. I ordered a burger and made a point of asking if I could get it looked rare. No problem he said. It came out well done. We were the only people there, so it shouldn't have been too hard to make sure it wasn't over cooked. Shame on me for not letting him know. So... here it is. Cool place, great guy owner, average...

Annual fishing/golf weekend with a bunch of guys from work. We golf at Inlet and Thendara while we stay at the Glenmore. Pat and his staff greets us with open arms every year. I was the 1st one to show up this year so I grabbed a Southern Tier IPA and an amazing Philly Cheese steak.

New bartender his year....Maddie.....VERY easy on the eyes. She'll be walking proud after this weekend! Can't wait for next years...
