Booked through expdiea, said NO REFUNDS..got there and was asked for my form of payment...okay, that makes sense, for incidentals, this is normal. But no, he said no payment had gone through at all...okay...frustrating,, but I get. Give him my ID and card and the man promptly insinuated that i could be a thief since apparently my ID picture isn't close enough to my real life face? Pretty shocked at that. Then, claimed my payment wouldn't go through and said that I couldn't have my mom call and pay because they require a physical card, since, "anyone can take someone's card and pay with it"...so, I guess driving a brand new car, dressing nicely, and being polite gets you accused of being a thief. Sure some people might have had a great experience. I did not. The wife and their small child also kept leering around the door, bot sure what i did to these random strangers to come across as so untrustworthy, but i definitely got a very bad vibe.

Also, nearly popped a tire in their for a parking lot.

UPDATE: called for an explanation and he told me to go f* myself....

The room was clean and the motel was quiet but I am giving it 1 star because of the AWFUL service and you cant give zero stars!

We made them aware we would be checking in late. We arrived about 11 p.m. after driving 1000 miles and were told we could not stay there due to me having my service animal because they do not allow pets. We advised them that they are not a pet and We provided the proper certification paperwork and she still insisted we could not stay. Her husband arrived at the office and, while he was accepting of the certification paperwork, he demanded that we pay a security deposit! We provided a copy of the ADA showing that service animals cannot be turned away as well as it being against the ADA to charge a deposit and the owners still demanded that we pay the deposit or be turned away. So since it was now after midnight and we had no other option, we were FORCED to give into their demands.

So, if you are ok with you legal rights being refused and enjoy being talked to and treated horribly, you'll definitely get what you're...

BUYER BEWARE! NEVER EVER STAY HERE!

Had a two night reservation at the theater motel. Our stay on the first night was terrible. It was cold and the heat in the room didn't work. It's right next to a main road, with constant traffic noise. There's a flag pole outside that's been clanking all night in the wind. The Walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors down to every cough. I complained and the owner tried to fix some of these issues. He turned on the heat but the ancient heater (see pic) had a mind of its own and kept on running sending the temps soaring. The thermostat setting had no effect on the heater operation. When I called the owner, he asked me to run the AC with the heater to temper the temperature! Insane! Went to get ice in the morning only to find water in the bottom of a Styrofoam cooler in a 19th century "ice box" (see pics). Everything in the room was dated, filthy and musty.

Of course, the owner refused to refund or even acknowledge the problems...

The location is great. Rooms are clean. It was quiet when I was there. This is a family run operation and they seem to follow guests around and often seem intrusive. I think other reviews implied that this was considered friendly , it all depends on interpretation I suppose The owners live on the premises Window air condition units are comfy. The beds are very comfortable. My family slept well. There is not a restaurant at the hotel as a sign in town states. There are scant places open at the beginning of the week in this town but there is a grocery store. Rooms have microwaves and frig They must not like dogs because no pet signs are all over. Service dogs are allowed of course The room windows have a thin curtain over them but the light shines through. They need better shades to prevent light getting in on both sides of the room. They have mini blinds Beaches are close by , very good value for the money All one level and parking right by your door

We were staying for one night in between concerts. Bruce Springsteen on Thursday in Pittsburgh and Melissa Etheridge/Indigo Girls in Chautauqua Institute on Friday. We arrived at the motel after 1 am, which was no problem: the desk manager called us after midnight to say he was closing up and would just leave the key and the receipt in the room. Awesome! The next day he informed if all was well. Yes, sir! The room and bathroom were super clean, plenty of space. Sure, the furniture is a bit old, but everything is well maintained. I particularly like the flower pots on the porches. They make the place look very welcoming. A lot of work goes into them! All in all a tremendously relaxing experience for a price that's really unheard of in that area. I mean, a spot on a campground there costs about as much!
