We enjoyed our stay at Daisy Barn Campground.||We thought it was very clean and quiet. Also a nice view of Lake Ontario. You can’t swim from their property there, but we didn’t care.||Hookups were great. The bathhouse was very clean. Of course we went after Labor Day so could be why it was so quiet. There’s lots of large RV’s there and some motor coaches. ||People were on the older side and very friendly.||It was relaxing to sit and look out over the lake.||Didn’t know why there’s a larger apartment house in the middle towards the lake. But never saw or heard anyone. The apartment house is attractive. Nights were quiet||It was a very reasonable distance from Niagara Falls. Easy drive, not a big deal.||Please note this lovely campground is in farm country. Occasionally there is a manure smell. It’s not always there, and the wind blows off the lake and it’s fine. We live in the country so this didn’t bother us. ||We felt safe here and would go again. Can recommend this spot. Just read all the reviews and you can make a decision but I wouldn’t pass it up. We saw many other campsite places on the way to the falls, and this one looked the nicest to us.||A previous review mentioned lots of dirt and mud. This isn’t the case. There is all grass now and no mud....

What can I say about Daisy Barn Campground other than AWESOME...We were supposed to check in at 3pm on Friday but I was running late. John called me to ask if I was coming and what time could he expect me so he could meet me at the office. I assured him I was on my way and would arrive at 4:30pm. Right from the get go I felt very comfortable at Daisy Barn. I didn't have my 30 to 50 Amp connection so i called and he brought me one. I appreciated that immensely. Me and my wife enjoyed our time so much we decided to stay Sunday night. I tried calling but no luck due to bad signal (I didn't mind because it's camping) but he recognized my number and came to our site to see how we were and I told him we love it here so we wanna stay again...and then we stayed again Monday night. John and the other guys we spoke to were amazing. The restrooms and showers stalls were definitely top notch. I had ankle surgery on May 3rd and still unable to walk so the handicap stalls were a blessing. Thanks for the hospitality, clean, quiet, and well maintained campground. John, if you see this i'm sending you a huge THANK YOU! We will definitely be back sooner than later. If you're looking for a great spot to camp along Lake Ontario I suggest you call Daisy Barn. See...

This is going to be on my list of campgrounds to return to. Cons: the wifi is sporadic. Pros: everything else is fantastic. The people here are the friendliest and most welcoming people I have ever met at a campground. There are full time campers and transient campers here. You are close to top notch vineyards and great restaurants in Wilson (try the Lemon Room or a day trip to Medina). The bathhouse is dated but super clean and the water pressure is the best of any campground I have been at. The hot water is hot! That's a plus. It is a very laid back campground. The sunsets are nice, but they were obscured by Canadian wildfires. You are right on lake Ontario. You can go into Wilson to fish off of the pier if you want to. There is no swimming access to the lake here but there is a swimming pool. You are close enough to Niagara to make a nice day of it, and far enough away to make it nice. I really like this campground and the people who run it make it very pleasant.

We arrived on a Saturday to find the office closed and had to call a phone number. When I did this, the male person that answered the phone was rude and acted like it was a hassle he had to come and check us in. I responded by saying “Is this an issue”. He didn’t know what to say and back tracked and said oh no problem. Not a way to greet anyone. We were first timers to this campground and it will be our last time. Plus the store was never open on the weekend. What good is that. Had to go somewhere else. The website is not what it, Daisy Barn, appears to be. It is small with 95% seasonal and transient RVers are stuck next to a noisy road and our site had 4 large, what appeared to be electrical panels, excess dirt that is covered like a holding spot and somebody’s utility trailer right at our sight and if your looking for sites near the water, don’t bother there are all seasonal. Waste of time and money.

This is really a great all around campground! The proximity to Niagara Falls makes it the perfect place to set up camp when you’re here to enjoy the falls! Also the weather was perfect when we were here in late July/early August. The views of Lake Ontario and the sunsets over it are incredible! The only issue we had with this place was the pool. They close it down at 8:00pm, just about the time you get back from a full day at the falls and now want a relaxing swim to finish the day!
