Stumbled on this place by accident while looking on line for a place to stay in the Catskills, an area I've never been before. Their website showed they had availability so I called to make a reservation. I spoke with the owner who assured me they had a room available and made the reservation. I could not believe how affordable the rates were, so went in with low expectations. My expectations were blown away right from the start. The area is incredibly beautiful and very close to all the restaurants of Windham. We checked in with the owners, who were super nice and turned out to be the best hosts ever. The room we reserved was the Country room, which the owner warned us was small. We found the room very clean and super cozy, with a clean bathroom as well. The breakfasts provided were great, not some fancy attempt to make a gourmet art piece that is ultimately inedible, like we've experienced at other B & Bs. The owner even gave us choices each morning and they were made with eggs from the owners "Ladies" as she called her chickens. The grounds were beautiful with a stream in the back yard. Each day we would return from riding (motorcycle) around the area and find homemade treats waiting for us in the dining room. At breakfast time the owner gave us great areas and activities to explore in the Catskills as well as recommendations on where to eat dinner. I can't say enough good things about this place and feel as though I made 2 new friends in the owners. I can't wait to return and discover more in...

You should be so lucky to have the very lovely and attentive Agnes look after you during your stay! 5/5 on cleanliness 7/5 on value The very unassuming upstate multi family house has more to offer than you'd expect on first examination! Despite it's humble looks, it's a better stay than any compable hotel or Airbnb in the area, Agnes took delicate care to install light blocking curtains on the southeast side of the house as not to have too much sun in the morning... The heavy doors all but guarantee safety and privacy, and provide soundproofing from the outside world. Extremely comfortable King sized foam mattress. Mini fridge and wifi are excellent amenities.

But best of all, Agnes cares and goes far out of her way to ensure you are cared for. She's the mom you wish you had. She even makes you breakfast! Just for you! A really REALLY good breakfast! Handmade! For you! You don't even deserve Agnes. You don't know what you're missing out on here.

Ditch out on the local hands off and impersonal hotel, for the same price or even cheaper you can get a once in a lifetime level of...

If I were to run a bed-and-breakfast, I would want to run it the way the proprietor runs Mountain Treasure. She treats you the way she would want to be treated. From the creatively decorated rooms, to the cozy breakfast nook, to the delicious breakfasts she prepares, the proprietor truly treats you as a special guest. I stayed at Mountain Treasure, in July 2025 after my hike down the Kaaterskill Falls. I stayed in the American Room and used both the tub and massage chair after my hike. The bed was comfy. The AC worked well (I also opted for fresh air one night). I sat in the backyard and enjoyed the mountain views and quiet ( passing cars didn’t disturb the peace much). The best thing was definitely the delicious breakfasts made with eggs from the on-site chickens! Scrambled one morning and in a veggie frittata the next. I requested gluten-free-friendly selections and my breakfast came with gluten-free toast. The coffee was also delicious. I highly recommend Mountain Treasure and am considering returning in fall to enjoy a stay in a different season. Thank you for a...

Relaxing, gorgeous environment A small, lovely B&B located in a beautiful environment, in the middle of bursting greens. Agnes, the owner was very friendly and helpful, she provided us with maps and information about the trails and places to go near the village. We intentionally chose a village like this where there are no people, no noise, dirt and awful smell: refreshing, relaxing milieu, silence and fresh air!! This is what you will find here. Our room was quite small but totally enough for 2 people. The bed wasn’t the comfiest, it was too soft for our liking. For breakfast we could choose from waffles, crepes or scrambled eggs, and there were also fresh fruits, Greek yoghurt and milk alternatives (flax, almond milk) which was awesome as I don’t drink regular milk. Coffee and tea is also provided at no extra cost. The gem of the place is definitely Lucky, the ginger cat, who I found wandering in the garden, he’s the cutest thing! So if you look for a peaceful, lovely place surrounded by greens and tranquility, look no further.

Mountain Treasure Inn is a gem of a B&B, nestled in the Catskills. Agnes and her husband have created a charming and welcoming refuge in an 1890s home that is filled with character. Hearty breakfasts with granola-yogurt fruitcups and cast-iron pan frittatas using eggs from their own free-range hens fuel you for a day of antiquing and hiking. Agnes surprises guests with trays of freshly baked Polish pastries left thoughtfully in the main parlor and has helpful suggestions for the best places to sightsee and dine. Mountain Treasure Inn truly is a hidden treasure! - Mark and Qin Sun Stubis

My wife and I had an amazing experience during our time at Mountain Treasure. Agnes was an amazing host that really made us feel like guests, not customer. The breakfast she prepared for us was excellent and prepared us for a long day of skiing. The room was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. The dining room also had complementary tea, water, and some baked goods the night we arrived which is very much appreciated. I would strongly recommend the Mountain Treasure if you are looking for a place to rest between hitting the slopes.
